Many people have ears, but they only hear what they want to hear. I think it is the same with Christian music. If you listen to the message, you will leave with the message. But if all you are hearing is sounds and rhythms, then that is what you are hearing. After all, even when Jesus spoke as plainly as He did, many could not hear him.

I've heard this argument since the late 70s; honestly, there does appear to be an evil anointing on some mainstream rock, rap and metal (and most of the hard rock/metal since the early 90s is way more evil in terms of openly Antichrist/sinful lyrics than anything from the 60s and 70s), but you can't just lump it all together and declare that all rock or metal style music is satanic.

Christian rock, metal and rap seems more appropriate for entertainment purposes rather than for actual worship.

GOD seeks true worshipers...when David took of his robe and danced on the road being naked, the Israelites thought he is insane...but we can find out that David is the man before God's own heart, why? because God does not look on how we sing, we move, shout etc...he just looks on the intention of our hearts.

How we worship God can negatively affect others if done incorrectly. I believe a woman dancing alone during worship in church is inappropriate. It draws attention to the person, not God.

Not sure why the ballerina is in this video. Ballet is fleshly and suggestive.

Not all ballet is fleshly. And it might suggest something to someone who is looking, but it doesn't have to. It's like a beautiful woman walking down the street. Is she suggesting you should disrespect her by possibly being something to lust after? It's not her fault people sin.

Dancing is a wonderful expression of one's soul. It's like anything else, though. If you do it for God, it's good. If you do it FOR the flesh, well, then, it's fleshly.

It might be true that it draws attention. However, it all depends on the person's intent of dancing. If she is doing it for God then their is no problem. If she is doing it for attention, then why even focus on her. Your focus should be on God and yourself, not with the dancer and yourself.

You know, I think it's not the music that counts. It is not the music wherein we base what is Christian music and what is not. If you hear those what you call "not worldly" music without the lyrics, you cannot distinguish if it it a Christian song or not. I think that it's the lyrics that makes it a Christian song. :)

I think that as long as it is pleasing to the Lord and it was from your heart, it is worship. :) However, when you are really worshipping God, the joy (and sound level) cannot be contained.
