I'm sorry, buts its really easy when you already have the great shining example of a marriage, to belittle or demean a single person's desire to have the same. That they should be satisfied watching others have what they desire. That they should rejoice at your grand meal, while they themselves are starving. When it comes to marriage and being in a healthy and positive relationship, I don't care to live vicariously through others- I want the same for myself- And God knows this, but no peace
don't understand this?? How can you minister to both married couples and singles and urge the singles to be satisfied and that its better that way, because you can focus more on God. But in the next sentence, its said that well if your already married- oh well?? I do have faith, that's why I'm still waiting. However, it's been a painful lonely wait trusting in God for a companion- and while having to hear happily married people patronizing me by saying, be a "satisfied single".
@kymelle His statement is true and from the Bible - you can't truly understand it until you have been married. There's beauty and satisfaction in both single and married life. Married folk have an obligation to eachother, to keep the marriage going strong as a testament to the Lord. But single people are more free to go forward in minisries without having to consider a spouse. While I am very happy in my marriage, there are days I sorely miss being single with no one to consider but myself.
@drleeza Well, obviously that's really easy for you to say, which further impounds my original point. And quite frankly, i don't believe that you are as much as ministering to me as you are bragging about something you have that you know that I desperately want. Just like the pets, house or cars that I own, as much as I enjoy them, there are responsibilites that ensue, I accept them and expect them. However, unlike you, those responsibities never make me consider having otherwise.
@kymelle This is probably the number one reason you're not married yet...you're not wise enough to understand or accept what the word of God says in this situation. When you have matured, then perhaps God will move you in the direction you are obsessed with. If you can't be whole/satisfied with just you and Jesus alone, then you WON'T be happy with a husband. You would make his life miserable along with your own.
@drleeza I don't appreciate you attacking my youtube comment in the first place, actually- it's none of your business. If you didn't like my sentiment, you could have simply overlooked it. And I still believe you fell off of your soapbox with your hypocracies- to lecture me about not being satisfied, when you only two comments ago testified, that sometimes you are not happy with what your blessed with. And because I have a sincere difference of opinion, you question my maturity...
@drleeza ...which makes me question yours. Apparently, this is that awkward moment at the crossroad, where we are simply going to have to agree to disagree. This conversation is over, I will not be responding to any subsequent comments. Good luck, good night- most importantly goodbye.
