I have been to north korea twice now last being february 2011. It is a really nice place, not just pyongyang but most of the other areas are modern. Unfortunately the americans have created myths to scare people and to make people hate this demorcratic country.

@5233andy - they do have modern computers but only a few people have them. A handful of tourist/'International' hotels in Pyongyang like the Changguanshan Hotel have hubs where you can access the internet. Normal North Koreans aren't even allowed cars, so the internet is the least of their worries.
How is it possible fir them to have Internet if their computers are so primitive? I'd doubt they even have a proper communications network, given their primitive electricity system that's prone to constant failures.

I reccomend you watching some documental movies especially about places like labor camps. When you get there you're tied in a very unconfortable position for half year! after it you can't move because everything huts so much! there are many other ways to torture people. I hope that in next years situation in north korea.

And from what I remember, the North Korean Soldiers are ruthless and fearless. They should have had a revolution if he was starving their fellow countrymen and family. @MrJim12341121 You are joking right? You do know that the North Korean invade South Korea 25 June 1950? Also the North Korean were nearly wiped out by us only to be saved by the Communist Chinese. They pushed us back beyond Seoul but in the end We and the U.N. pushed them back out of Seoul and beyond the 38th parallel! The North Koreans ever invade a second time they have 6 weeks to take over S. Korea. After that they will be pushed back and most of there military will be destroyed!

Oriental people will smile in your face but while your back is turned will stab you. If we have the ability to wipe North Korea off the face of the earth, I think we should do it. i perfectly know north korea to be on the level of south korea requires 50 times more of development,i know maybe inside these buildings the technology disponible is from the decades ago and i know most of north korea must be poor and rural,but to be honest at least many buildings of the north korean capital don't look that bad,even i can think they are from at least a middle developed country,i wonder how the isolated and poor north korea could have the minimal money to have a decent city

@KYONSUZUMIYA1 Buildings and their technologies are from 70-80s.. Technologies of russians or czech building companies are not that bad as it can seem. And they helped to made their towns.. So I am not suprise. But these buildings are older and older, they will need to fix many things.. and.. economic in NK is in bad shape and it will not be better.. Common people in capital of Nk can live their ordinary lifes, they are not hungry, they dont have cars like western ppl, dont have McDonalds..

@5233andy - they do have modern computers but only a few people have them. A handful of tourist/'International' hotels in Pyongyang like the Changguanshan Hotel have hubs where you can access the internet. Normal North Koreans aren't even allowed cars, so the internet is the least of their worries.
