Somebody tell me whats so special about Mac maekup than other makeups? Im new to using makeup. I know Mac cost more.

@Star2k15 yes, it's true that mac costs more than drugstore brand makeup, but it's a LOT cheaper than most department store makeup. MAC has a variety of different makeup items, from lipstick (which MAC is best known for) to like, moisturizer. To compare, MAC blush is $23.50 CND, and NARS blush is $31 CND.

MAC also offers a huge variety of different shades to choose from. basically, the quality is amazing on most products and they last a long time. hope i helped. :)

The MUA arent friendly in France or in the U.S. either. I dont think they're allowed to be nice. At least in all the M.A.C store I've been to they've been very snotty and try to shove products that I DONT NEED or DONT LIKE down my throat!

i agree.. the first time in MAC was SCCCAAARRRYY!! haha :) i walked in, and i was looking at the shadows. my mom was like (to a makeup artist) "she likes this eye shadow!!" and the makeup artist put foundation, concealer, eyeshadow and eyeliner and mascara on me.. i <3 makeup... but she made me look like a walking rainbow!! it was AWFULLL!!!! :/ I <3 MAC noww

I have a dumb MAC question for anyone. How do you swatch the products yourself in the store? I always feel like I'm not allowed to touch anything! Haha! I'm assuming it's bad to touch the eye shadows with your fingers, and I never do, but I've never seen any Q-tips or anything. I don't want to look like a total idiot in the store, that's why I always go in for 2 minutes, then leave. =)

@Toomies08 No problem :) It's always better to go to the shop with a list of things you want because usually they are really crowded or the make up artist isn't really interested in finding you a shade that suits you, they just want you to buy something + we're embarrassed to stay there for ages trying things.

Hue is the prettiest MAC lipstick in my opinion, it's so gorgeous! My favorite neutral, everyday eyeshadow is Era. MAC's website describes it as a "Soft golden beige with shimmer", and I think it looks great on its own when you want to do a "naked" face, but it also looks good under deeper browns or dark colors for a smoky eye. It's so versatile, I love it!
