"Wow," Just look what you've 'forwarded'; a great classic - and to an ignorant generation who swear themselves to be 'Country'. Good luck and good onya.
Omg I remember a long time ago, when I was like, 5, me and my mom would sing this. I love this song! It brings back so many memories!!! I haven't heard it in years..
ya no some people just dont no how these songs like this make u feel inside most of the songs like this are fadin out and will never be heard again wich makes me feel like i just died
@SuperJustmeandme This is the kind of muic that can actually get the blood pumping and the heart beating faster. I hope it'll last forever! Some of the stuff today ain't bad but no contest to music of times past.
Anyone else think that thematically, this is a similar story as "Cold Kentucky Rain" by Elvis? I think that it's got the same sort of builds as that song, also.
oh i almost forgot my dad had breakfast with ronnie the morning of his concert in midland and to this day we have an open invitation to his house in N. Carolina. If anyone sees his cousin and personal manager, Billy, tell him I said hi.
haha if you guys only knew what i had in my possession: something like an autographed pic of Ron when his "it's almost like a song" album came out. along with a drumstick that his drummer used in a concert in midland, tx back in the 80s (i was about 11 or 12), got a tour of his tour bus, and the original videotape of "Lost in the 50s Tonight" jealous, yet? lol
@Berta664 He is one artist I wish I could see. I hear he puts on quite a show. I was told he jumps around on stage. My mom saw him and she was worried he would fall off the stage.
never was a big country fan,I grew up rockin, but always loved Ronnie Milsap, and hearing my parents listen to what I call "Old school country",I'm pushing 40 now and grew up hearing all these songs, its funny how after all these years, you start to have a new appreciation for all the classics you grew up on,compared to all the crap being played today.
I'm no fan of country music, but some of this old stuff is really good. Unlike this pop-country crap on the radio today. Many men can relate to this story...... many men let a good woman go, for some dream that did not pan out or some skank.

The majority of kids where I live dont even know who he is when I speak of him, i'm very happy the other children around you are blessed enough to know who he is and have had the experience to hear him sing because he is a great influence

"He did these without all the studio sound they have today"?! Milsap recorded in professional studios of the '70's and '80's that were as equipped for gloss as the ones today.
