With this video and the fight for gay marriage in general, marriage equality refers to people of all sexual orientations based on gender identity (gay, straight, bisexual, asexual, etc.) being able to legally marry the persons they would love.

Anyone have any idea how to fight Gallagher's fear-campaign in which they hired a PR firm to run focus groups in order to re-frame the issue away from one of equal rights?! Let me know, if you do. After all, the denouncements by the Maine government didn't seem to work at all. *sigh* I'm just worried that NOM has Iowa in their cross-hairs next year.

The grassroots are the only ones who have won a LGBT ballot initiative in California, beating a 20% spread in 1977-78 and defeating the Briggs initiative. A well-organized grassroots campaign could do it again!
