  • Boih cigs and nicotine replacement are big business

  • I haven't yet read the book but like the philosophy. I.'ve come off anti ds , sleeping pills. With anti ds its physical withdrawal, Ambien,14 years more mental.Your system is almost nicotine free after a nights sleep. So why should you then get withdrawal? And is it withdrawal I virtualy lost my voice when I replaced cigs a inhaler..I can't helpbut think that nicotine replacement therapy just stops withdrawal Itt makes me want the real thing ie a cigarette

  • i smoke abaut 30-40 sig a day and im 21 i have been smokeing 9 years

some times in a morning its hard to breath and i smoke in my room everyday so basigly i smoke 24/7 and im scared i meen so scared that i have a cancer im a fraid to go to the doctor and iam just not that strong from my mind that i could stop i want to belive me im almost crying but i cant

  • @supscreem u dont have cancer. after about 10 years of smoking i quit 3 years ago (im 36). but my 50+ a day habit has damaged my already asthmatic lungs to the state where i have COPD. (wiki that for more info). I stopped using a combo of alans method and CHAMPIX. go to the doctor. the only thing you have to fear is waking up in 10 years time with a lung problem you cannot fix. stopping smoking sets you free from a prison. go to the docs and free yourself..

  • @supscreem Go get Allen Carr's book now. You can read it in a few days and never smoke again after that. I smoked for 6 years and quit just like that. It really is that simple. You'll be free immediately after reading the book, assuming you follow the instructions, and you will feel healthier than you ever have in just a few weeks after quitting. You will probably start coughing up nasty black stuff but that is your body cleaning itself. Really man, check it out.

  • Interesting stuff

  • I went to an Allen Carr clinic and I haven't smoked for 9 months: haven't even wanted to either. I feel great. Truly the best thing I have EVER done! The book didn't work for me, but the clinic in Raynes Park London did.

  • just don't be a fricking pussy

  • @alexgrinkov I wasn't making an analogy. I was just saying that nobody cares about you bragging about quitting without a book, or any kind of crutch or help or assistance, and nobody cares if you are "not a fricking pussy".

Just stop bragging. It doesn't help anyone.

  • @HelloAgain151

i didn't want to help anyone, my onle wish was to show off. Who cares about whether you like it or not.

  • @alexgrinkov you obviously care. That's why you wrote - twice.

  • I quit after reading the book. No problem.

  • He has spoken! COMPLY! all hail the hopkins! :) fantastic actor, fascinating personality. :)

  • I stopped without any book.

  • @alexgrinkov good for u

  • @alexgrinkov Oh, well, a big pat on the back to you then, my jolly effing hero ! How helpful of you. Do you walk without crutches too? Maybe add another useful post about that to a video about recovering paraplegics who are learning to walk again.

  • @HelloAgain151

    what the fuck?

  • @HelloAgain151

you can't grow your legs, but you can easily give up smoking solely with your willpower. bad analogy

  • I read the book and stopped cold over four years ago. I honestly thought I would never quite in my life. I just never thought it possible considering how many times I tried. I finished the book and... just quite. I just didn't want to smoke again and didn't. About 8 months in I did go to SXSW and while imbibing had a few cigs. In the past that would have lead me to a pack a day again. But it didn't. I just didn't smoke anymore.

  • Read the book. Simple as that. I read the book and stopped Oct 2, 2009. Best thing I ever did in my life!

  • For gods infernal sake FIX THE SOUND!!!!!

  • @csahlgren Spoken like a true smoker.

  • Oh, I used to smoke 20 - 25 a day and felt the urges to smoke even more.

I just decided if I'm gonna feel bad all the time in between cigs, I might as well stop paying for the privilege.

I didn'y realise that the pangs would go

  • I couldn't have stopped without the Alan Carr CD!

Over the years I used Nicotine Patches that worked, but only for so long.

Last time round I used the 1 milligram lozenges for the first week, (odd that the shops only sell the vile 4mil lozenges) I had to get mine from boots the chemist. They were great but when I watched the Alan Carr CD it just convinced me to not even want to smoke again.

  • wonderful

  • i made we stop too :-)
