What you're referring to is known as the touchdown celebration. Just spiking the football is so 1980s. Players are always thinking of new ways to celebrate a touchdown. Soccer players can be creative too. That Fish goal celebration takes planning and practice with the whole team.
In the first play the guy with the ball cracks me up... once he crosses the line he drops the ball and sort of freezes, stopping on a dime once he finishes the play...with odd body language all stiff and erect (did I say that?) and he has his arms like glued to his side. I don't know why I'm so amused by that... It just looks funny.
