Either you haven't been getting any magnesium or fiber or NOT DRINKING ENOUGH LIQUIDS, etc...........You have got to have a Bowel movement every 24 hrs, and to make sure that happens go to walmart and get MAGNESIUM from the vitamin section, start with 500 mg of this magnesium oxide every day. If you find yourself going more than once in 24 hrs, then you may want to reduce your dosage by braking one of the tablets. Drink Decaf coffee and Lots of water! Soda is high in caffein!
Magnesium is essential to your body and mind so add stuff to your diet that is also good for your skin either internally or externally. suggestions: MSM about 3grms/day, Biotin, vitamin c, b complex, omega 3 and lots of water!
i had pain all the time for 4 months and first they thought it was liver than i did everything mri, ct and after 5 month i did x ray and found diverticulosis, still i have the pain all the time even at night, is it possible to have such attacks when having diverticulosis? or is it possible that the doctors where mistalen and it is a cancer? i am terribly scared , and is it always necessery to operate this colon? i am 25 years old
@lika999ful I don't know but don't be afraid. I'm about the same age and have been to the ER twice because of lower left abdominal pain. Last night was the 2nd time. Both times colitis related. I never followed up with the dr because I feel the antibiotics were enough. I've taken antibiotics and they've worked. But I really need to change my diet. Try making yours better if it's not and good luck!
I eat healthy (lots of vegetables, fiber, fruit and whole grain) and I drink loads of water.... I was diagnosed with diverticulitis... but according to Federal standards, I shouldn't even have this disease, cuz I eat healthy and exercise!!! How is that possible????
@Marmalade000000 They put a lot of emphasis on healthy living but the truth is more likely that we're predisposed to it, everyone in my family have lived healthy lives, my grandma had IBS, my mother too, my brother has crohn's disease and I have mild IBS and a stomach ulcer (my brother had the same as me at around about the same age). Good diet does help ease pain though and slows the diseases progression so no it wasn't wasted :)
I just found out about this, I ate bad except for the last 4 years and decided to change my eating habits and exercise within the last year 1/2 I have had 4 stents, polyps and this thing,, eat well my friends,, but its never to late to start.
I just found out about this, I ate bad except for the last 4 years and decided to change my eating habits and exercise within the last year 1/2 I have had 4 stents, polyps and this thing,, eat well my friends,, but its never to late to start.
I have had this for 10 years and on march 21 I had surgery to remove 14 inches of my sigmoyd colon. I am 2 and a half weeks out from surgery and feel pretty good it really wasn't too bad of surgery. I wish I would have done it years ago.
Wish I had seen this 6 months ago. Had been hospitalized 4 times in the the past 6 months finally ending in surgery this last Sept. Then in Oct. a blood clot in the lunch as a result of the infection I had during surgery so reversal of this BAG has to wait for 3-6 months. EAT YOUR FIBER!!!
@Ivan951 Turns out I only had TWO little diverticulum directly next to each other. Apparently those two little pouches caused me excruciating pain & 5 days in the hospital. I know they developed because of irregular (& often forced) bowel movements& a poor amount of fiver in my diet. "Stay away from seeds, blah blah, & popcorn is the worst." Since I'm a naive 19 year old, I only listened to that for the first 6 months. I've been eating food w/seeds & popcorn ever since and am completely fine!
@Ivan951 So either a.) They corrected themselves after upping the fiber in my diet, or b.) I'm getting lucky and beating the odds. But truth is, since then, I've decided to eat A LOT more healthier foods, so I am thinking it corrected, or even healed/is still healing itself.
@rachelrunion .... I got diagnosed after months of being completely ignored because I was "too young"... they thought I was alergic to cannabis and was lying about not being a pot smoker .... I am 27
@xeniabcn Im 24 and i was ignored at the hospital for hours because they thought i was too young. Finally my mom who was with me pushed them for a ct scan and the resident who was seeing me came up and said "o hey im very sorry but you do have diverticulitis" ......
I have been telling my friends since the mid 70s to stop with eating meat and cheese, pizza, fried food and cookies, too much bread and chips and other processed foods. They would only laugh and giggle when I mentioned the phrase, colon health. Now three have diabetes, one has a colostomy bag and two others have diverticulitis. I'm healthy and they are not laughing anymore. I need some new friends !
I'm 41 years old, eat too much crap, in days leading up to the big bang, too much stress, and poor diet, the whole system shut down, no regular bowel movement for days, no amount of over the couter meds would help. High temperature, and the shivers eventually saw me end up in hospital for a few days. Antibiotics, and plenty of stool sofening meds, plus resticted diet, held me in good stead to become regular again. Its a battle for the rest of my life. stay away from processed foods..go natural!!
colonoscopy is the cause of diverticulosis in more than 75 % of those undergone medical mafia try to hide this fact
.For those that already have a benign non active diverticulosis they show a symptoms of diverticulitis after colonoscopy...I am a prove of that..My CT before colonoscopy was radiologically unremarkable colon after it it is full of diverticulosis and symptoms of diverticulitis not shown radio logically so you GI doctors butt off and stop earning money from it...thanks 4 the video
Are you one of these suckers who earn their living by putting hoses in people's asses...you know diverticulosis can result from a pressure on the colon's wall as the air and the colonoscope..who is idiot?SOB
In 2003 I had diverticulitis that scared hell out of me. Just recently had a colonoscopy and am awaiting results. I know I have diverticulosis but I am grateful for medical treatment. Just realize that some of us don't believe all these tall tales. Yes things can go wrong. As I learned in the Army Medical Corps, if you think any medical procedure is routine or ho hum, boy are you in for a surprise, but it is small. I'll take my chances with professionals not with you.
I am awaiting results of last week's colonoscopy and certainly hope my colon doesn't look this perforated. This is sickening. With diet my bm's have been remarkably consistent and strain-free the last two years since my heart attack. I just turned 66.
So you young folks get smart, stay hydrated and never strain to take a bm which will enlarge the blood vessels and weaken the colon nearest them like soft bubble gum. There, now think about it and get smart.
I had this and ended up with a colostomy. I had the bag for 15 months and now I've had it reversed. I don't wish this on my worst enemy!

why not deal with the cause instead of using invasive procedures and mind dumbing amnesia drugs? dr frankenstein was fictional. dr. mengele was not.
