I'm far from a "noob", I just don't like those ultra light weight classes and the heavyweight class. lw and ww seem so stacked whereas fw, bw, and fw seem so barren, same with hw to an extent. I think it will be better in a few years now that the light guys can actually make a living but their is a huge talent disparity from the top of those divisions to the contenders

You do have a point about featherweight, their technique level is far higher but a lot of them still lack ko power. I think lw and ww have the best mix of ko power and technique but the fw division is arguably on that level or will be soon. Its came miles ahead in the last couple years. flyweight sucks horribly and bantam is so so.

HW is barren but getting better.

There really should be a 235 pound weight class, but the reality is that's just not possible. Without the 220, 230/240 pounders (Couture, Mir, Cain, Fedor, Arlovski, etc.) the HW division would be completely barren. Hopefully in the future as more TRUE heavyweights emerge (guys that cut to make 265) like Lesnar, Carwin, Rogers, Antonio Silva etc. a new weight class that's more fair for the smaller big guy will be created.

I agree with your logic, in reality if we split the hw class in the ufc in half we would have all the hws fighting at 235ish and then lesnar and carwin could fight 3 times a year until we get more talent. lol. If you count all true hws across there world that are talented and couldn't cut to 235 there are only like 4-5 guys.

I can't really get into the wec for some reason. I started out fighting at 155 with huge weight cuts and I guess I just find it disturbing that full grown men can weigh as little as 135 lbs or less. LOL it's stupid I know but I really like lw and ww in the ufc the best.
