I noticed the same thing about gum, why do they have to use aspartame? when I chew gum with aspartame after a while if I drink cold water it hurts my tongue, for the longest time I never understood why this was happening but I believe it is the aspartame doing this. I notice that almost all gum and most products that normally use sugar now substitute it with either aspartame or corn syrup, what a convenient way to poison the public.
