  • My Gosh. This trailer, the nostalgia, the animation... This is definitely one of my favorite movies ever.

  • Tarzan and The Lion King is one of my all time favourite movies! Glad I was born in 94'

  • I remember seeing this intro everytime I started the action game on the computer. Nostalgia at its best :D

For a game based one a movie, this is one of the few games which actually intergrates the true epicness from the movie and makes a smashing good game out of it too.

  • definantly one of my favourite moveis

  • Probably the most beautiful art and animation quality I've ever seen on a movie.

  • Man I miss this movie! Now Disney is just all this teen sitcom crap. At least Phineas and Ferb is a good show.

  • 1:36 Epic!!!

  • I love Tarzan i was watching when i was 7 :D i miss it he is the cartoon that i grow with

  • Tarzan was a very beautiful animation, on a funny note why Tarzan doesn't have a beard

  • goose bumps.

  • I'm a '96 baby... it movies like this that never get old.

  • I was only 2 years old when i saw this in theaters, and it was the first disney movie i ever watched. :D

  • Disney used to be so powerful, they werent afraid to make you cry or feel afraid, and as a child i was always comforted knowing it would all end up okay. This movies had great messages.

  • Thumbs up if you thought Terk was a guy, and were surprised when you learned she was a chick.

  • Tarzan-the sexiest character known to man

  • The trailer never stops inpressing me.

  • This movie, Peter Jackson's King Kong and Avatar are my favorites. I just love the Jungle!

  • allyndeimos Me too!

  • 12 years have past since I first see this trailer and film and I stell having the same feeling, Tarzan is, for me (with the lion king) the greatest movie of all disney, the one I will never forget.

  • Oh God! I love how everyone is talking about their memories of being a 90's kid and growing up on Disney! I was born in 1988 , I was 3 years old seeing Beauty & the Beast , entranced by it's elegance and old fashioned storytelling. Seeing Aladdin at age 4 ,the humor of Robin Williams Genie. 5 years old , the gothiness and whimsy of Nightmare Before Christmas. 6 years old , the majesty and african culture of The Lion King , age 7 , stunned by Pixar's first computer animeted film with Toy Story.

  • Love this...<3

  • Thank you God to let me born on 96, so I could join this kind of movies, still on cinema, and learn what disney really were, the classics and the magic, just wonderfull, thanks

  • Yes, God has a soft spot for those born in the 1990s. Everything he created over the last 13 and a half billion years was just practice for that decade.

  • simply... explicit...

    WOW

  • THX logo too 1990 Walt Disney Pictures too ''Walt Disney Pictures Presents'' Menu Titles Beauty and the Beast variant

  • I still think that to this day, this is the most beautiful animated film ever made. It blends together perfected traditional handdrawings with amazing use of 3D-effects to make a movie that looks simply stunning. It also stands to this day as the most expensive traditionally hand drawn movie Disney ever made, and it held the record as Disney's most expensive movie ever for 11 years, until it got beaten by Tangled, a full 3D-movie.

  • I think Tarzans mom was very beautiful <3

  • god. the music Phil Collins wrote for this movie never fails to floor me.

    Disney Renaissance FTW

  • love this movie(:

long haired guys are so hottt ha

  • I have to say, really good movie!

  • good times...gooood tiiimes:)

  • This trailer gives me the chills... Starting at 1:30 the footage has really strong music

  • Tarzan is hot, <3 plus this is one of the greatest Disney films ever made.

  • my favorites are tarzan ,hercules, dinosaur, the fox and the hound and the lion king.

  • Song name..??..

  • Two Worlds

  • I remember when I saw this trailer for the first time. I was totally blown away

  • OMG i remember watching this when i was 3 i was always scared of the jaguar whenever it was on still am actually

  • i think the last great disney movie made was Emperors New Groove, after that it went down hill with hannah montanna and HSM

  • I'm sorry, but Tarzan is so hot <3

  • Dang...1999 that seems so far away now...12 years later and this is still an amazing movie :) I'm a teen and I still love this stuff lol I'll watch movies like this over all the stupid reality shows targeted towards my age group ANY day! :D

  • Nostalgia <3

  • the last disney movie to give me that magical feeling as if i were in the movie :)

  • la mejor pelicula que de disney que vi :9 muy bueno temas tambien tiene

  • i was 5 years old when this movie came out and i still remember glimpses of me in the cinema watching it. it was incredible.

but it's just Disney Magic. Only Disney can do those things.

  • I'm supposed to do a monologue for English class about a female fairy tale character, with presenting a new view on the story. I'm looking through a lot of Disney stories to find something, anybody think Tarzan is good? Or any other suggestions?

  • I mean sure there was a few a few good ones after like Finding Nemo and Monster INC. But I feel like this movie was the official end of the disney Golden Age

  • Can anyone please tell me the name of the song that plays at 0:44? I know that it is Phil Collins, but I can't find out which song it is! It just such an amazing soundtrack to a fantastic movie.

  • Apologies for the delay in responding but I didn't get a notification it had been posted. The song is "Two Worlds".

  • Even though I was still pretty young and was born in the later years of the Disney Renaissance, me and my sister were raised by Disney movies. We loved the old fairy-tale ones, along with the ones that were made during the 90's. Now that I am older I realize how blessed I am to be a 90's kid, even though I could not enjoy these films when they were first released. Tarzan was the first movie I saw in a movie theater, and I am proud that this amazing film owns that title.

  • i feel so old watching this and i am 17

  • Such an epic trailer! Gave me shivers.

  • I remember when I saw this trailer for the first time. It litterally took my breath away.

  • I can honestly say, that this was the last Disney film.

  • More than ten years has passed since I saw this trailer and this movie for the first time, and I still have this feeling...Tarzan is my film, the one which touch my heart and the one I will never forget!

  • tarzan's buff

  • this was the first movie in the cinema i ever saw

it will always be there for me what ever age!

  • @UltraMovieNerd same for me! saw it with my dad when I was 8 years old

  • Jane's voice is too sexy...and Jane herself is...

  • @FOTARAStheGREEK Oh good, im not the only one who noticed :)

  • @FOTARAStheGREEK That wasn't Jane's voice in the trailer, it was Tarzan's "mother", the gorilla. But Jane is still sexy :)

  • @FOTARAStheGREEK im a girl so to me, tarzan is really hot... >:)

  • Coming from disney june 1999? oh wow!

11 years later ......... And i'm not bored of this :P!

    that do the good movieeees!

  • Gave me chills...

I miss the 90's. That's when Disney animation was at it's best.

  • It doesn't matter if you are a child, teenager, or adult, you can still enjoy the beauty of disney. I was born in 1997. All through the years until today, I still watch my disney movies on vhs. If you are a teen or adult , you might think to yourself ''I can't believe i'm a grown person and i still love disney. If I tell other people I love disney , they would probably think I am a sissy''. Those people probably think the same way.Don't be afraid to tell other people that you love disney.

  • In the 1950s I grew up on Disney classics like Snow White, Pinocchio, Sleeping Beauty and Peter Pan. Fortunately, they were always being re-released so we could relive the magic, the splendour and the gentle humanity of them, even in pre-video days. I now own a lot of them on DVD and love revisting them. I retired last year, aged 55, and I'm not embarrassed about being a Disney fan. They are timeless. Unfortunately, we aren't. Future generations just may continue to watch and enjoy them.

  • @pwgr2000 A conversation between a 14 years old and a 55 years old about why they both love Disney. Amazing. Love you both, guys!!!

  • @sydneyray064 thank god im not the only one. im a year older than you and whenever i buy a disney movie my family is all "what the heck is wrong with her"

  • @sydneyray064 i totally agree with you, hey, i was born in 1997 too! i love disney!

  • @sydneyray064 dumb child

  • @sydneyray064 i cant believe you were only born in 1997

you seem so mature for your age

  • @sydneyray064 Whe where born in the same year and like the same stuff. The 90`s rule!!!

  • @sydneyray064 i was also born in 1997 and absolutely LOVE disney :D

  • @sydneyray064 You're right! I remember being a teenager and almost feeling embarrased about still enjoying animation. Fact of the matter is, it's art! If people knew the true lengths of what goes in to an animation, from research to rendering etc, they would realise that too. It differs from live action because every frame is scrutinised in order to get the best reaction from the viewer and is changed to suit. It's entertainment at it's best!

  • There was once a time when animation was considered special because there was nothing that animation couldn't render and make available to audiences. CGI changed all that and now those flights of the imagination are available to BOTH animation and live action. However, animation is still a special case because it is much more work intensive and is truly a labour of love. However, like live action, if the script is lame then you get a second rate film and even if the animation is high quality.

  • 1999? i DO feel old. and i'm only 18!

  • old disney was way better :(

  • first movie i saw in a movie theater and i will never forget it.

  • @drummerknot131 exactly the same for me. my firts theater movie. unforgetable :)

  • i cannot belive it it came out in 1999, seems like it came out yesterday

  • 1:12-1:18 whenever i hear that part i want to see TARZAN again!

  • 1:13 - 1:16 = goosebumps

  • I LIKE

  • gammaca' ki toyo :P

  • although I love this film watching this makes me kinda sad as it now can only give me the faintest echo of my six year old self's sense of absolute wonderment at seeing this sort of thing at the cinema.

  • I almost started to cry. Don't know why. I miss this time. When Disney was good!

  • tears :,(

  • Wonderful, my favorite Disney movie.

  • More than ten years has passed since I saw this trailer and this movie for the first time, and I still remember this feeling...Tarzan is my film, the one which touch my heart and the one I will never forget!

  • I can't believe how I could forget this?! I went to the movie theatre for my first time to see Tarzan when i was 4 1/2 years old in June 1999. Ah, good times... :)

  • I can't believe how I could forget this movie?!!?!? I went to the movie theatre for my first time to see Tarzan when I was 4 1/2 in June 1999. Ah, good times! =)

  • I love this movie! I just bought it and watched it. Before that I hadn´t watched it in ten years and it is my all time favourite Disney movie. :)

  • I remember seeing this trailer in the movie theatre. Now I feel old.

  • One of the few last good Disney movies, then Hannah Montana and Jonas Brothers and HSM took over the Disney I loved and spent day after day watching! :'( Walt Disney would be in shame

  • @GottaloveNicole

Walt Disney would be glad for how much money he'd be making

  • LOVE IT! GREAT CHILDHOOD MEMORIES!

  • Tarzan has wicked dreads.

  • the first time I saw this trailer as a kid I immediately thought it was 'George of the Jungle' in cartoon!

  • This film is bloomin amazing :D Wish disney was like how it was back then.

  • That movie is intense. Best cartoon of life other than Monsters inc.

  • I remember waiting for the VIDEO (yes video not DVD) to come of this when I was about 6 and when it came and almost jizzed! I have a little Tarzan back pack and a colouring book WITH the Video... maaan... times were simple weren't they?!

  • My Favorite Movie When I Was A Little Kid, Haha!

  • I so prefer the old fashioned style of hand-drawn animation. It had more atmosphere and reality than the new computer graphic style of animated movies now days. Don't get me wrong, CG has its place with certain styles of cartoons such as comedy like Despicable Me. But for epics like Tarzan, you just can't beat the detail and artistic quality of old.

  • funny how the anatomical structure of the female gorilla is incorrect, and instead of drawing her breasts like in the wild, they give her a fuzzy under belly.

  • Thumbs up if you keep pressing the replay button =)

  • oh my gosh i almost cried its just these kinds of movies are the best theyre so much better then the stupid 3D animation we have now that only once in a blue moon you'll get a good one (Toy story ect) and these ones feel so much more real and have great story lines and music most of the animation in great films like this are so amazing you cant believe your eyes these are the movies our futur generations should be watching right now (The Lion King,The little Mermaid,Mulan i could go on for days

  • wow... this is an EPIC trailer!

    It even gave me goose-bumps!!

  • More than ten years has past since I saw this trailer and this movie for the fist time, and I still remember this feeling...Tarzan is my film, the one which touch my heart and the one I will never forget!

  • i love this movie

but it makes me cringe when tarzan slides down the trees

im thinking "doesn't he hav splinters when he does that???"

  • I too cringe at the tree surfing scenes. For my money, one of the few flaws in the film because it is anachronistic, ie. it places "modern" iconography in a period film. You have probably seen some of the "making of" footage on the DVD or Youtube. Glen Keane, the Supervising Animator on the Tarzan character, explained that the got the idea from watching his son skateboarding. Everyone said, "Hey, that's cool." Unfortunately, that's what it looks like - Tarzan skateboarding!! Eek!

  • @atomichead777 I'm sure living in the jungle and doing that time after time builds up tough skin. I would think it would be similar to finger calluses when playing guitar.

  • @atomichead777

The animators addressed the splinter question by saying they covered all the trees with moss to make it easy for Tarzan.

  • I miss old Disney. The Disney that could make you laugh and cry, shout for joy or scream in terror. All in under one and a half hours. Characters you just fell in love with and couldn't stop thinking about days after watching the movie. Music that sent chills down your spine. Animation that brought fairy tales to life in your mind.

I'm going to rewatch all the Disney Renaissance movies before I leave for college. Will the Hannah Montana and HSM fans do that ten years from now? I don't think so

  • i saw dis when i was 5 lol i was 5 when it came out in theaters.

  • i saw dis when i was 5 lol

  • Phil Colin won an Academy Award for this

  • this was the last greatest film. with the magic.

  • how i miss the classics like tarzan!!!

  • phil collins stopped :(

  • Somewhere something is calling for you

    Two worlds one family

    Trust your heart

    Let faith decide

To guide these lights we see

Only my favorite part in this song

    OMG I will cry

  • I am so glad that I was born in 91 which meant that I grew up watching all the great 90's Disney films such as Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Lion King, Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Hercules, Mulan and Tarzan. The only good hand drawn Disney films of the 21st century in my opinion are The Emperor's New Groove, Lilo and Stitch and Brother Bear.

  • Well, I was born in 1954 and have had many years of enjoying Disney films, including the ones made before I was born - Snow White, Pinnochio, etc. Many humans assume that the art (films, music, painting, sculpture, dance, etc) made during the period they are living is the pinnacle and everything that came before was just laying the foundations for that achievement. I happen to think that each generation produces great artists. Disney has made many great animated films between 1937 and today..

  • @pwgr2000

THANK YOU! I was born in 98, and I watch things from the 30's all the way up to now. Seriously, people can be ridiculous sometimes. "Oh I'm so glad I'm old cuz I got to wtch dis and dat and the younger gen grow up on crap."

Whada ya think You Tube was invented For?

  • I totally agree. I was born in 98 too and I love to watch "old things''. I wish I could of grown up in a different time cuz now tv, movies and everything else sucks. Thank god I could use YouTube and I got my all my Vhs cassettes.

  • @pwgr2000 Pervert, just kidding it's cool that you like Disney.

  • @Ktbailey2 Princess and the Frog? Come on, don't tell me that didn't bring back great memories. (btw I'm a '93 baby)

  • @Ktbailey2 What about The Princess and the Frog?

  • @Ktbailey2

Those are the three you picked for Disney's "good hand drawn" films?

  • @Ktbailey2 Also being born in 91 we got films such as Silence of the Lambs, Pulp Fiction, Unforgiven and Fargo, nice and wholesome films.

  • legendary trailer I LOVE IT !!! :D

  • One of the last good ones from Disney.. before HSM and Hannah Montana brainwashed the generation of today...

  • @Wombatatrest With Princess and the Frog and Rapunzel /Tangled) Disney has come back ;)

  • This was a EPIC Trailer. Now Disney Make Teenagers CRAP!, And 3D Fucking movies..

    ANIMATION MAN! ANIMATION!!!!!

  • Thumps up if most of you remember seeing the trailer from either the Mulan VHS tape or The Bug's Life VHS Tape as a kid. Just hearing the music here brought tears to my eyes.

  • awesome!!! xD

  • Disney's last REALLY good movie.

  • I missed this kind of disney. Now, Disney channel is filled with teenage crap and what not such as Hannah Montanna and the jonas brothers.

  • @FutureHerpKeeper thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaank yoooooou

  • I remember seeing this in theaters when I was 5.

  • is this a fan made trailer? its the best trailer for tarzan ive ever seen

  • It certainly is not a fan made trailer - it's an offical Disney trailer. And a real fine one as the volume of comments on this page attest.

  • @pwgr2000 ooh

  • Great trailer best of them amm i was searging this trailer for long time.It was also in the Playstation 1Game . :)

  • I still remember seeing this trailer as a little kid and wanting to see the movie strictly because of it.

  • I have been watching this movie since it came out, now I watch it with my child and enjoy it as I did when I was a child myself <3

  • Comment removed

  • I feel very old

  • Phil Collins singing for Disney - the best decision they ever made.

Shame they now only do Miley Cyrus, jonas brothers ect.

Gotta miss the Golden Age of Disney

  • I HOPE HAV TARZAN3

  • this is my favorite movie of all times i never used to get tired of watching it as a kid

  • Phil Collins is just amazing they should make more Disney movies with him acting and singing he is the best!!

  • One of the great Disney's masterpiece!

The trailers is stunning even it shows a little.

The story, the music, the characters, all the movie!

Where are you now, Walt Disney Studios?

  • 1 of my all time faved movies when i wauz little and i still love it today. ^_^

  • this was an amazing film, but phil collins just made it 10 times better

  • I was 5 when this came out, and to this day it is my favorite Disney movie!

  • Dear Disney,

Get your thumbs out of your asses and start producing good movies like this one again!

    Sincerely,

    4getfulness16!

  • Tarzan has the sexiest voice.

i love you Tony Goldwyn :D

  • what a masterpiece.

  • The last great hand-drawn animated feature (until The Princess and the Frog).

How did Disney go from this to Hannah Montana!?

  • a kid at my school thought this was a pixar movie......

  • If Walt Disney were to see the Disney Channel today, he'd get acidity.

  • I miss the good disney

  • This is when DISNEY ROCKED MY CHILDHOOD ,now its just singing retards

  • You see? Disney should make more stuff like this.

  • ive always cried wachin this movie its so so good but now disney movies suck y cant they go back to tarzan and lion king?!

  • This is the best cartoon of life. period.

  • i just rewatched this today, and i have to say it's so beautiful. the artwork, the storyline--everything is so emotionally perfect. so sad that the disney renaissance is over. hopefully they'll turn around and start making some good 2D animated movies again in this new decade!

  • I always admirated this movie from my 6 yrs.

I'm really sad about the disney's movie of the 2000 yrs, now,, its only computer animations and that's always misses originality :(

    BUT I SO WANT TO SEE TOYS-STORY3 and I'm actually 14 ;)

  • lance henriksen who played the android bishop from aliens is in this film.

  • Looking at the majority of the current animated movies, its like companies dont care anymore. I guess the 90s was when they were focused on quality.

  • Wha? The Toy Story trilogy was made made by people who "don't care"???

  • I remember seeing this for my 7th birthday and my friends and i loved it! we would go around beating our hands on our chests like tarzan. I love the fact that i grew up on the movies of the Disney Renaissance and even today I still watch these movies a lot because they're just awesome!
