Two things I didn't like. The floating star wars bike and launching the Enterprise from earth. It was built in space. Other then that they did a great job.

How is that a star wars bike? This is Star Trek! Star Trek will most definately have Si-Fi stuff like that. And they did not launch the Enterprise from earth. The Enterprise was in space, then they left to the Enterprise.

I've yet to see anything from JJ Abrams that I've enjoyed.

All the movies he's been involved in generally suck, and his TV shows are overhyped and pretentious.

Plus he admits to not being a Star Trek fan. Great choice.

The lame time travel BS also keeps sucking progressively more every time it pops up in fiction.

Apparently we don't need original plotlines or anything when we can fall back on the same nonsense.

I still want a post-DS9 movie in the 25th century. =|

I loved Voyager and DS9. Although DS9 was too political for my liking. I don't like Star Wars because it's too political, too much fantasy, and not enough science. Star Trek Voyager was the best thing they've made thus far.

Retro look? No dude its the same look.. its supposed to take place 10 or 15 years before the original show so of course they would use the same hair styles, ship configs and uniforms... otherwise it would be that milktoast "Enterprise" flop. This looks cool, if they push the sex to much though they might lose the 10 years olds.. anyway I'm glad someone is doing this right. Could be the biggest film of the year

Ho I cant wait for this ,I love the retro look from the original show and thoses characters, they are the best! It looks good so far and I'm hopefull it would restore my faith in star trek that I lost since "Enterprise".

Enterprise? I lost faith with Voyager. It has been 10 years since Star Trek produced anything worth watching (DS9).
