I see pure Karate. Karate was already blended with many other martial art systems, therefor anything crosstrained is an exercise in Karate exploration.
Great comment. Jujutsu is a preview into advanced Karate. Because so few people advance beyond beginning Karate, they don't see the closer in fighting aspects.

Shuri-Ryu as in Robert Trias? ...never heard of Shuri-Te jujutsu...it is based on the karate? the tuite applications from kata?

Yes on the Shuri-Ryu. I don't know that much about Shuri-Te. I believe it's a derivation of another jujutsu system.
