What addon are you useing to show what spell hit what?

First of all id just like to tell you to use the heroic dummy and second of all shaman isn't a skill class its a class where you need to know your gear!

Not really a good example considering its 30 seconds, Any scrub shammy can do

3k dps in first minute of fight but not keep it up.

Hense not a good example, but yeah ele shamans are very op and this proves it. xD

Whats the point of showing us this i could take all my hit off my gear and blast that dummy for 3.5k without bloodlust.

this is without BL if u didnt know, and i hit that dummy cos i had resto gear at that moment I.E. no hit rating.

I made this cos i was bored and wanted to let everyone know that ele shamans can do great dmg even without nolife-gear

sry but

showing us only 29 seconds of ur char how he hit a dummy and not even a boss 1 , doesnt show us how much dps u make.

i can also just use all m y trinkets and activate all my skills, hit the dummy for 20 sec. take a screenie of the highes dps and say oh shit i make 4k dps on boss dummy.

make a 3 min video. on a 80 boss dummy.

and make ur recount bigger.

first, i use the free version of fraps to record, which means i can only record 30 secs at a time. secondly, im in resto gear, which means my hit ratingg sux ass at that time. thirdly i did not use any trinkets or cooldowns at all.... and i did this with just one try, i did not do it over and over again to wait for some lucky crits.

if u know any free recording program which can record 3 min, then plz tell me

yea doing 2k dps as an ele shaman is easy now, i have like 1850 SP and i get like 2.8k-3k on bosses

yea ele shaman are like omfg op now for pve, having hit 80 4 hours b4 and only in blues and like 2 bc epics and green trinkets i got 2000 dps, only had like 1500 spell power with raid buffs

dont use CL on single target DPS

LB will hit harder, only use CL if you need a quick cast before LvB otherwise its detrimental

Chain Lightning actually does more base damage and has a lower cast time. The only downside is that it has a much higher mana cost so it's inefficient to use on single targets, but will still output more damage.

Lightning Bolt is actually one of the weakest elemental shaman spells now =(

thats not true man, maybe you have lower spell power, but my LB's hit for around 2.9-3k CL's dont. If you read the forums, the general concensus is CL is out of single target rotation.

Armory Jonimalami, thats the gear i have and LB (with gylph for it as well) does more damage

EDIT: it may have more base damage, but the co-efficient of the bonus it gets from +SP is lower so after a certain gear range it hits softer.

i used to think that, but its only because its a more noticeable spell, watch you LB's closely youll see it happens just as much on LB too, you just cast more LB;s so it seems like it doesnt.

Some times the overload procs on LB at the same time as u cast the next one, which make it look like there is only one.
