@ln4359 It's highly unlikely you'll die from a Cottonmouth bite. Most fatal bites in the USA are from Rattlesnakes, and even those deaths are relatively rare. Cottonmouths have no neurotoxic properties to their venom. It's all hemotoxic. The bite hurts like hell, but usually the worse that happens is severe pain and possible infection with gang green setting in. You'd still need anti-venom. Amputation can be required in severe cases. Also, bites are often dry bites with no venom injected.
