This drama brings me back old memories. This was televised in Japan when I was a high school student in Japan. I loved watching this. The bear is so cute.
The building that stored this series along with Movin on and hundreds of others burned down and all was lost for good. Very sad to know there will never be an official set of these series.
I loved this show. My uncle actually had a Kenworth with the same paint job. I loved spending my summer there and riding the roads in that truck. Unfortunatley, I was too young to drive so I was the designated monkey
BJ siempre el mismo boludo,el mono es mas inteligente que el, por eso no esta en cana, el sheriff un corrupto atorrante y Perkins un imbecil, linda serie la veia cuando era pendejo
Thanks for posting this, it brings back a lot of memories. I was just a kid at the time and I used to love this show. What American boy wouldn't love big rigs, car chases and hot lady truckers?
Thanks for posting now i just wish that someone would post the pilot for BJ and the Bear. That one was a 2 hr made for TV movie. It was still great to watch after all these years.
@TheCinemastudio I absolutely LOVED this show as a kid and have been searching for it. I'm sure they will never put either show on DVD. E-mail me @ JCBlyler@yahoo.com if you would be willing to burn a copy for me. Thanks for posting these!
Do'nt ya love that cummins 400 engine HMMM yes kenworth really did sell these back in the day to the private and commercial owner's wow it would be a nice christmas rig to put in a christmas parade and or to deliver some presents to some kids who aint probaly got nothing to look foward to in life.
I heard that was a writer's strike back in the day that's those show's never lasted it; was'nt because of the t.v ratings it was the writer's fault just like the new knight rider in 2008 & the bionic woman but i feel that the television viewer's will get their revenge by having big rigs like that kenworth and smear it all over hollywood's face's producer's & writer till they cave in and would want to hire star's or former star's & create a movie for the big screen for the world to see..
for those who didn't know there was a long version of the Misadventures of Sheriff Lobo Theme song.It can be heard in a 3 part episode of BJ/Lobo.Can't believe neither show lasted longer than they did:(

Oh never ever take a big rig through the city of raleigh north carolina, the lanes are too small & tight & made for compact vehicles which is a total headache. Now if you're a member of facebook look up paul sagehorn he has the original 1980 kenworth aerodyne that was used in the show just like the one you see in this show .
I do'nt want to hear that this show made alot of viewers into truckers, it inspired men and women from all walks of life from black to white,it was a good show to watch on saturday night for people and for some who had a father who was a trucker, and it was a little family oriented too but back thn there was no internet so go figure.
I also loved the way that bj stuck it to the cops with his rig i'd never do that no way hence the word when bj told lobo "i guess i'll be movin on" hahahaha greg used that from claude's old t.v show movin on like he was making a joke..
I LOVE TRUCK PERIOD I WISH I COULD GET A USED 1 AND PAINT IT AND BUY A USED OUTDATED TRAILER AND PAINT IT AND ROLL IT CROSS COUNTRY IN EVERY HICK TOWN WITH DIRT ROAD'S AND STUFF
Thanks for sharing this with me, I distinctly recall this show since I used to watch it every Tuesday night on NBC right after its spinoff series SHERIFF LOBO which I liked even better than BJ & THE BEAR!
thanks,I haven't seen this in decades.

Haha, the worst screenwriting ever!
My favorite line: "I would advise against that if I was you! I really would." (43:55)
This show was silly, hokey and--for those of us who waited every week as kids to see the next episode--fucking wonderful!
I enjoyed every minute!
