Jasper Williams, Donald Parsons and C.L. are among my favorite preachers. C.L. was doing things back then that other preachers wasnt doing. I believe if C.L. were here in this time he could have matched the styles of today's preachers. They all are not just, "was" great, but C.L., Jasper and Donald "ARE" great. Remember preaching is, "expressing truth thru. personality" that is the way God gave it to them. These three are among the greatest preachers.
What we have to remember is Doc Franklin was a mentor to Doc Jasper and Doc Parson. Doc Parson was pastoring Jerusalem Baptist in Gary when he was like 16 or 17. All three are considered the standard setters for various generations of preachers and all influences to us overall.
Yes, he can preach. Haven't heard Rev. Donald Parsons in years...Since doing revivals at Burnette Baptist Church under the late Dr. J. Allen Caldwell. But, do a search on Tolan Morgan .. this boy can preach too.
We must all remember that it's not about the man, but it's all about HIM (JESUS)! Thank God for the styles but the true blessings come from the content that is in Word! The Word was made flesh. Let's not debate personality or style but praise God for HIS WORD!!!!

There is nothing new under the sun. It goes with out saying that C.L. was one of the greatest of all times. But when you really look at it ALL preachers get something from other preachers.
The purpose was a response to question. That is no secret. If you have been following Parson he has stated openly his battles and how the Lord has delivered him. So why are you so defensive? Like I said he used to have some struggles.
A person in the public's eye life is always suspective especially Pastor's. The problem is that they need more people they can trust arounf them to help and pray for them when they are struggleing. So, theings like this won't be an open book. Let's just thank God for his deliverance.

This man along with Jasper Williams jr, Jerry Black, set the bar high for young preachers and seasoned preachers alike. D.P. is one of God's gifted ones.
Leo Daniels is also one of the greatest, but I was making reference to those preachers that have been in the forefront in recent history. You can take nothing from Jerry Black the Brother is bad.
