Nice work with the film. I saw some nice fursuits. It makes me want to come over and visit from my home in Memphis, Tennessee, USA. I'm a greymuzzle and I have a new fursuit (a sabertooth cat) that I will be taking to a con in less than two weeks. I have never had anyone call me perverted or anything bad. I have gotten some strange looks and asked why I do it. "To make people smile." I reply. Who can argue with that. Haters are just people full of self doubt. Furries are much more open.
oooh ^_^ i spotted a lot of my friends there ^_^ and a few of my own furry creations ^_^ (ear and tail wise that is lol) thankyou for making me giggle and showing the world that furry isnt a perversion. its no different to people who dress up as movie or game characters. and I'd like to see the guy who doesnt fancy a play boy bunny or kittengirl!! you cant call us perverts when you dress your girlfriends u as children for sex so ner!
every hobby has its bad crowds. but that isnt all of us.
I don't think that the furry fetishists make the whole fandom look bad. Face it, a huge proportion of all furry art is sexual, and there is nothing wrong with sex. The only thing wrong is people's prudish judgements. Like those people who think we are the perverts, I guarantee they have their own bizzare fascinations!
@TRWolf All of what you said we loved and you made so many valid points. We actually spent so much time in the edit trying to fix an issue we had with the footage, that day was very windy and the majority of your interview was effected by this! Which was a really big shame! Sorry if you are disappointed. Thanks a lot for your help!!
Whatever people may think, furries aren't freaks. I myself don't wear the suit, and don't really plan to, ever, but I'm not ashamed of what I am. It takes all kinds to make a world.
In addition, think back to the days of the native americans and early humans in the BC era; they wore full-animal skins believing they were getting in touch with their inner animal, or as a status in their clan. So I really don't see how anyone would find this so wierd, since it's been going on for 12000 years.
@Volcanoran3 i have to disagree :P if you think furries arn't freaks then you've got to be pretty blind, we know we are freaks! we just dont care :P
we do the things we do because we dont care about what anyone outside the fandom thinks of us, that is the whole point of feeling a little bit more confident and free to act as we please in public without being disrespectful and disorderly
@Laoruperteen18 As a fur myself I sort of have to disagree, I will admit we are weird, even freaks, but personally I care plenty about what people outside the fandom think of me. I mean if some stranger just walked up to me in public and told me i was a furfag id keep walking but I don't have that thing we call "furry pride". That's not to say I'm ashamed of it either, I just don't think I could be so loose, err "free" as you put it, in public.
@Laoruperteen18 I suppose it may have somthing to do with the fact that my fursonna if a mutated human man rather than a fantasy type character. I do like to show a small bit of animalistic behavior, but nothing like crawling around on the ground on all fours. I mostly just like the asthetics of a wolf...
I totally agree, cheap nasty ass suits are pretty awful. Theres learning and then theres the type of people who think their work is fine when really its not and they will not heed advice
Yeah pretty much... I think its why I shy away from meets... People always focus on the negative sex representation furries have from the media but on a more local scale its embarrassing to walk around with people that look like they got their stuff out of a bargain bin x..x
Then again... Most normal people give weird looks when they see any guy in anything remotely girly or subby... Like... The whole playboy bunny ears thing translating to a 50 year old man with fox ears/tail :P
What is this, I don't even. xD I CRINGE at myself on camera and it's Daley not Dale. :P But ah well, I'mma post this on Facey and Twitty, maybe even Furry4Life. :3
Unfortunately, as good as this video is about showing the true side of most furries, I doubt it'll change the opinion of people who hate furries to begin with. Other than that, great video. FURRY PRIDE!!
Just noticed myself in the background at 3:27 :| What the fuck am I doing?

The only thing I find embarrassing about furries... Is the really cheap looking stuff people wear to desperately try and fit in x..x
Other than that I guess it just makes us look a bit childish :P
But its all in good fun I guess lol
