  • @ColtGT4g63 You got a 4g63 colt?? i had a 93 talon awd for a few years with full boltons injectors 255walbro 3" gm MAF/MAFT, ebay mbc ETS street/strip fmic 3" short route piping custom Brian Crower cams hks cam gears(got em for free) and a garrett gt28r stock trans ACT street disc 7lb flywheel and welded the rear. I loved that car blew the transfer case after atleast 100 1/4mile (or close) passes on the street and 60k miles

    you can see right on the Engine cover that it says 5.7L...... The LS7 is a 7.0L Learn your facts... the corvette came with more than one engine over time and in different models.

  • @NAWAFN7 From 97 to 04, the C5 Corvette came with the LS1. The only Vette that didn't have the LS1 at that time was the Z06. The LS7 comes in the 06+ Z06 Corvette. Get your facts straight, and great job on making yourself appear as a douchebag.

    Where do you even see LS7 ? The only writing other than Corvette is where it says 5.7L, which means it's a 350, which is the LS1. The LS7 is a 454cubic inch motor, which is a 7liter, not 5.7.

    the motor cover clearly says 5.7L. a LS1 is a 5.7L motor. a LS7 is 7.0L motor. learn more, speak less. just because the motor covers say "corvette" in red does not mean its an LS7.

  • @ShepperdW A lot of people put a whole filter on there, but because of space he just did the mesh screen. It keeps debris out of the turbo.

  • Ive been going on with my 2 friends in a battle which is better to swap on my 240z... LS1 or 2JZ???? Can someone plz Help... I want power and daily driver with a great price... So far a 2JZ motor swap already in my Datsun is about $8,000 making around 700hp but i want something around 900hp =D That i wont get stupid problems... boosting also Thank you.

  • Its not an LS7. The motor in the video is an LS1. The car currently has an LM7 5.3L in it now, LS1 blew up. :-)

    I've actually got an air filter on the turbo's inlet now too.

  • @ColtGT4g63 What the heck did you do to blow up an LS1? Those are regarded as the most bulletproof motor ever made next to the LNF in the Cobalt SS Turbo

  • I don't know who said the LS1's were bullet proof... But Multiple guys blow ring lands off of the stock pistons left and right. And are by no means bullet proof. When I blew up 2 piston I would estimate the power level was roughly 450 at the wheels. the 5.3 iron block version of the LS1 has been proven to handle much more HP in stock form.

    2. Why would someone put 250 untuned ponies into ANY car? Its so incredibly hard to tune NO2. I know a couple tuners who could do it, but they both would try to talk you out of using NO2 at all. Its just not safe enough. I prefer forced induction and meth kits.

  • @americansmark the only bullet proof motor i know of is a bmw m20 motor in the late model e30's you can throw 12psi at em bone stock and they'll run for years without any problems... i've seen plenty of people do it too.

  • @canthony1019 Cummins 6bt, or almost any inline 6 motor to be exact. Most likely the reason why inline 6's are used in tractors because of the reliability of the motor.

  • @americansmark LS1s are bulletproof, but if you add too much boost to them, they can't handle it, they are running fairly high compression as it is. so in order to run lots of boost it needs to be built up a lot for it, which i doubt he did much of that.

  • @uniondude31 an LT1 would have been better for adding boost to. LS1s are better with bolt ons but LT1s will handle a lot more abuse

  • Turbo is an Ebay GT45, I've got a BorgWarner S400 waiting to take its place here in the near future. I've got a Q45 rear diff in there with custom CV axles. Launches 1.4 60 ft. with no problems. I have never blown a head gasket either. I ran anywhere from 7 - 9 psi.

  • is that the ss autochrome gt45 y2kt-70? i run the same one till the shaft broke in half going down the track running16 psi.

  • That is some Hard Core setup, I mean the exhaust is just past the front wheels. Any problems with keeping rear ends together or Head Gaskets? How many PSI are you running?

  • Use to run no air filter, have since cut a hole in the inner fender and ran a cold air intake.

  • is there much if a difference from running a screen and running an air filter???power wise, i mean, with running a screen, you get dust and maybe loose sand...with filter, you don't, but how much hp can a filter have with a turbo...
