These are the reasons why the locos are the charactes they are:

James=Princess royal cos its a red tender engine

Gordon= B12 cos its a powerful loco and was the last coloured tender engine left.

Henry= Ivatt 2MT because henry and the ivatt are both Mixed Traffic locos and it was the only tender engine left.

Thomas=0-4-0 cos it is the only tank i own

Edward= J39 & Green Arrow (borrowed) because he is not a regular character, so is any tender loco that is not currently a character

Diesel was green in 'Pop goes the diesel', so why was he black like the actual Diesel in this episode?

He changed colour because right after i finished filming "pop goes the Diesel" My Green 08 had serious mechanical problems.

In order to finish the series i had my mates black 08 on loan to do this episode. hope this helps.
