  • Although prep books and programs are great they are too expensive. What helped me most on the PSAT/SAT/ACT was repetition. I came across this app called SAT Daily on the android. It is immensely helpful. It's new, but I downloaded it and was amazed. It gives you new question, new vocabulary word DAILY& new tip weekly. This kind of constant exposure really helps. I'm sure it will boost your score on SAT/ACT as well. & I scored in the top 2 percent. Search SAT Daily in the android market.

  • @MrHarvard2013 Do you know if that would work for my ipod touch?

  • im an 8th grader taking the pre SATs

  • I think the best way to learn vocabulary is to read a lot. But even if you do, you'll still see words on the SAT you've never seen in your life. Will that be important in a job interview? Nah. Work is way different than school. Both may not require intelligence, but both DO require discipline. So these hooligans out there need to straighten up. Why is there no scholastic conduct exam?

  • There is so many great methods out there. One of the best is using PrepMe... you can reach them at this number 877-250-4786

  • lol he totally right i did that shit all the time if i couldn't pronounce it or didn't know what it mean i would skip the hell out of that word maybe even skip the whole sentence. But, now im just addicted to learning new things and words is one of them. I can be in the movies or watching t.v with friends and if i come across a word i dont know i write it down. My gf be getting piss off cause i be pausing the movie and be writing the word down(stupid blond)

  • wow..i totally agree..but what u said bout ur GF waz kinda mean

  • see, I predict what the word means by using the context. i.e She walked, her belligerent personality made her face screw up and frown.

Belligerent being the word most won't know, I'd analyse. "Screw up and frown": Anger or frustration. Personality coupled with the frown and "screw up" Shows she has an agressive personality. Therefore, Belligerent means "agressive" (it does). Its a nice tip, analyse text if you're stuck on a word in an exam :)

  • His face is shiny.

  • YOU CANT DO THAT

  • wat the hell? its easy 2 concentrate, u must b stupid.

  • wtf year is this the standards are way hardr now ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh fuck

  • The SAT is retarded.

Thank God for SMC. No need to try on teh SAT.

When I took it though, the vocab was so easy! I got over a 600 in w/e section that was and i only wrote a 3 paragraph essay! Sure its not gonna be as ez for everyone but c'mon!

Any way, i like teh european Bacaleuroeate (i butchered teh spelling) more. Its harder but logically if u need a "super test" it makes more sense to me.

  • @Sossyp
