  • welcome to the jetss!!!

  • The man is back at the weight he should be. Some Bears fans are going to cringe!

  • for those who dont know he was waived by the bears and is now on the jets, where he is currently not on the active roster. so far a bust

  • @mikeyle only a 3rd round pick, not really a bust. Now vernon gholston on the jets he's a bust now he's on the bears!! lol. I hope both of them can make their respective teams and make an impact that would be pretty cool.

  • kille that pussy ass cougar, go utes

  • Who, under the jets scheme he could turn out to be a beast!!

  • @asuperman212 THE JETS SCHEME IS CRAP, THEIR D IS BEING EXPOSED

  • they wanna make him an offensive lineman. no joke.

  • Glad to see ANOTHER Chino High School Football player become pro.!!

  • honestly if he works hard throughout the offseason i can see him getting alot of playing time and be a very dominant Defendive Tackle

  • This is the kind of guys, u just fall in love with, the first time u see him on a football field.

  • huhh HOUSTON !

  • Gilbert looks good in most of the footage ive seen and his athletic abiltiy and speed will be a needed presence on the d-line. Mnay experts feel that he was a steal at the 3rd pick and after watching him in numerous footage against quality o-line like in the senior practices and the shrine games i feel he could see a 6 sack year with 10-15 tfl with the way the bears rotate d-lineman.

  • he looks like richard dent

  • he'll help the bears in a big way

  • This dude was a steal in the 3rd round. Can't want to see him in action!!!

  • STEAL!

  • The reason why Cutler was inconsistent last season was due to the broncos having a weak defense that would give up a ton of points and he would try to win the game by himself by throwing all over the field. Also he had no dependable help in the backfield. It was insane how many running backs the broncos would start and were lost to injury.

  • they might as well give the super bowl to the bears allready

  • wow this guy is a freak. im so glad we got him

  • You didn't draft Jarron Gilbert San Diego

  • thats my high school football team haha im a huge bears fan

  • how big was his penis?

  • I dont even understand what this guy even said.. you do look at the draft results right? and i think bears (most) fans know who their team drafted.

  • what are the bers

  • the bErs r gonna be the best this year i mean they got jay cutler

  • I disagree. As a QB, Cutler is better than good. Pro bowler, top 10, etc. The Bears are a running football team, so obviously his stats are going to be better than last year.

As for not a popular character goes- I'm not going to debate that, because it maybe true. As for & 7-9 wins, that sounds right to me, but since it's my team, I hope they do better than that and prove us wrong.

  • We went 9-7 last year with Orton and now we have Cutler. I expect at least 11-5

  • yeah, but keep in mind that the running game was wat helped the bears win 9 games. cutler had success in denver because of the 2 great receivers he had. in chicago he only has a decent TE. and cb/RET who has turned into a receiver. their def isnt good enough to win them games so it all ends up on cutlers shoulders. i am not saying u will have a losing season but u think u might go 9-7 again. cutler hasnt had a season over 500. but hope he can change that wit ur team.

  • good quarterbacks make wide receivers seem better than they are...not the other way around

  • it also works the other way around man. i just dont remember any off the top of my head but trust me it works the other way too. i can give u an example from the old days when plunkett came over to the raiders he had biletnikoff and bracnh for his receivers and thats wat helped him turn his career around cause he was a complete bust before that.

  • Wow great arguement!! (Sarcasm)

Yeah because that awesome rookie and great WR totally did everything by themselves.... i love the ignorant broncos fans that all of a sudden hate cutler after he was the next john elway just a couple of years ago and btw only two other qbs had higher passing yds per game in their first three years and they were dan marino and peyton manning and they are pretty bad right :S(Sarcasm again lol)

  • ahh, i am not even a bronco fan. u dumbass. my team is the RAIDERS. and i hate the fucking bronocs. they r a joke. and i am guessing u a bears fan so u just pissed off at wat i had to say. but dont be, cause thats the truth. i know now that he is on ur team, u ready to jump on his balls if u have to but if he was wit someone else u wouldnt give a damn and u would probably say the same things i did. and btw, didnt manning have harrison??? loser.

  • at least we're mot stuck with jamarcus russell

  • yo this guy is nasty rediculiously he is sick hes got the best of both worlds speed and strength and technigue he might just be the next regie white

  • this guy is a beast luckily da bears got him

  • remind me alot of haynesworth.

  • can u say, STUD..have mad respect for my boy, hes such a great guy..

  • reminds me of tommie Harris when he was coming out of college hopefully he doesnt have the same drop off he has

  • at 3:08 you can see the bears scout or w/e, he was prolly like ooo shit we gotta draft this beast

  • bears got a steal with this guy im excited to see what he can do on the field on game day

  • reminds me of Dwight Freeney only faster.

will be a great defensive player were ever he plays

  • faster than freeney? i dont know but for him being almost 300 pounds he is fast as hell

  • plus marinelli is coaching our line now and he is one of (if not THE) best d-line coaches in the NFL today. Imagine what he is going to do with the raw talent of Jarron Gilbert.

  • haha sweeett this year we are going to have 8 lineman that can play lol hofully it can go (brown harris harrison adwale ) but when they get tired u still have gilbert anderson dusty adams you could replace adwale with gilbert bc last year he looked tired and old and this way u have 3 DT on the filed and are line will be bigger theres just so many ways u can do it lol

  • Who is that scrub BYU lineman. He blows morman ass

  • sick! San Jose State reppin!

  • honestly how can this guy slip to the third round? I know he played on a smaller school and got double teamed game after game, but you would think that GMs would figure this out before I would!

  • I saw this in the local newspaper I went to middle school and graduated high school with him. good job man

  • Wow! I can't believe we got him so late! This will really anchor our D-Line.

  • I think the bears D-line is going to be sick wicked and nasty this year

  • wow...

  • Yo thats crazy dunks dawg

  • wtf is wrong with the niners? another local kid missed in the draft.

  • kentwan balmer, justin smith, isaic sopogoa. i think the 9ers are good at DE.

  • this is more impressive than the pool jump.

  • the bears are gonna fucking rule with him on the roster

  • holy shit he's perfect for the bears!

  • This guy looks good but he's too much like Tommie Harris. I'd prefer a 350 pound plus space eater at the nose. I loved our D-line when we had Ted Washington at 370 and Keith Traylor at 350 in the middle. I wish we had kept that duo together for a couple of years. Lovie likes these long athletic lineman, but our line got pushed around an awful lot last year.

  • To true... But Gilbert and Harris playing side by side could be just as deadly. If Harris can get healthy that is... But one them has to be double teamed. And we all know what a healthy Tommie Harris is capable of with a one on one.

  • Yeah I hope Tommie can regain his early career dominance. I was also real impressed with Anthony Adams once he took over for Dvoracek. Dvoracek by the way should get the ax, he's been hurt way too often and when he was ineffevtive when he did play. But who's complaining, we got a quarterback! Go Bears!

  • He is a great steal. He ends up starting for DA BEARS. So much better than Dusty

  • Dude has a motor that doesn't stop. What a steal.

  • this is what weve been needing in 2001 we had ted washington and keith traylor to stop the inside run and brian urlacher to run at the sides which is what he does best so now we got 2 big guys to watch the middle hopefully tommie will be able to stay healthy through the season so BEAR DOWN

  • Stop hating on Tommie Harris people. He really started to get it going late in the season, Gilbert is a complete steal and with him, Harris and Harrison, we have three pretty damn good DTs. They should open things up for our DEs.

    BEAR DOWN!

  • All Bear fans say welcome to Chicago!

  • Bear Down!

  • dude is a beast

  • man i wanted dallas to get him, hed be amazing as DE but too undersized for a 3-4 DT

  • i love this kid already, is he gonna play DE or DT for the bears. i think they said DT but we will see. tommie needs to step up...

Anthony Adams looked great the 2nd half of the year... i think dusty is done

  • We look forward to having him here.Training camp will be fun to watch,Welcome Jarron!!!

  • Nice a local product going to my fav team. Win Win

  • Tommie Harris doesn't PLAY. Fatass waste of space.

  • If he went to USC im pretty sure he would be picked before Brian Orakpo. Dudes an athletic freak and a great player.

  • He looks like a pissed off baby huey! if Tommie Harris stays healthy forget about the Williams duo from that gay purple team, i can't wait to see Percy Harvin in trouble with the law cuz there's nothing to do in minnesota dontcha know!

  • Haha yeah screw the Williams Wall!!

  • welcome to the bears dude! rod marinelli and lovie smith have a new toy.

  • This dude is a monster

  • Thank god the Bears went after someone to play D-line. Tommy Harris just doesn't play like he used to.

  • Well he's good, but he didn't crack the first round. I wonder why not though. The bears seem to be good with later round picks, like Forte in the second round.

  • thats what a a gem in the ruff

  • Welcome baby Bear.

  • damnnnnnn!

  • da bears!!!

  • This guy looks good...seriously.

  • yikes....

I likes this pick. BIG potential. Maybe this will light a fire under Tommie.

    TIME TO STEP UP TOMMIE!

    BEARS

  • Hell yes. Now if we can sit Ogunleye's ass on the bench and replace him with this guy...

  • oh man

bad day for those two olinemen

  • Had no idea who this guy was, but after watching this vid... Looks like a keeper for sure. Nice pick JA.

  • JA? chicagoo bro

  • JA=Jerry Angelo, our GM

  • Another Dick Tomey defensive prospect...

  • Say it say it now Da bears da super nowl champs .That is what we neede a guy to reach out and touch the q.b every now and then.Welcome my man now get out there and crush some quarterbacks for us

  • He's really gonna be a big thing, considering dusty and tommy both have been having inconsistancy with their health, i'm sure he'll have A LOT of time on the field.

  • I was surprised when I saw this pick from the bears, but I can see why they took him. I'm hearing nothing but good things about him, and he looks versatile enough to easily line up at any of the 4 positions on the D-line.

  • Beast 4 Life

  • i, being a bears fan, enjoyed this picked a lot. he fits well with the scheme. however, we shouldnt have traded away our 2nd round pick, then we couldve gotten a good receiver and Gilbert anyway. look for a lot of trades and free agent activity from the bears for receivers and secondary before week two or three.

  • if you were following the draft at all you would know that we got the same receiver we most likely wouldve gotten if we hadn't traded our 2nd round pick. Also, Gilbert most likely would have been gone before bears got to pick again.

  • yes because if we didnt trade there would of been 13 more picks from where we did get him no way we draft him if we don't trade lol

  • Yes eiochum, we're all going to be dissapointed if Jarron gets triple-teamed and the other side of the line has NO ONE BLOCKING THEM! Great point.

  • WOW! Can believe he fell so low that the Bears got him in the 3rd round. What a steal.

  • wow well i can see how the bears got the inside scoop on this guy. it looks like they have a coach running this entire thing.

  • He has a basketball background. That will help. With those long arms and huge hands, no wonder he hits the ball down so much. QBs will not be able to throw on the side that he is lined up at. He will bat the pass or sack the QB.

  • They are going to have to triple team this guy to keep him away from the QB. Then double Tommie Harris. That means Alex Brown is going to have a field day!!!!

  • i love this pick as much as the next guy but no lineman has ever been triple teamed, not warren sapp or mean joe green...hes good but not that good

  • I was just kidding about him being triple teamed.

    That would be funny though.

  • he looks great, even though 'draft experts' say that he has lack of effort sometimes, but Marinelli should at least help him in that sense

  • did someone say pass rush? great pick. DA BEARS!

  • he'll be good because of his hands. there is no way he will be able to out quick NFL lineman or throw them down.

  • Let's hope he can help Tommie Harris, he as all-pro talent, let's hope it comes thru on the field, go BEARS!!

  • i thought he was 6'5 290. i think he could be a good fit for the bears. freshen up the d-line.

  • Yeah can't wait!! Bears!

  • bears are gonna have a good d-line

  • another peppers perhaps??

  • one can hope, I wonder if Marinelli had some say

  • GREAT PICK FOR THE BEARS!!!!

  • I see him at 266 on the NFL draft tracker..

  • hmmm.maybe iM wrong..I thought he was only 260...want to know why so many turned away from him ...must be a good reason..

  • its because who he was playing against playing in the WAC, thats why so many people were mad at the Raiders for picking a guy from OHIO University

  • bears

  • WELCOME TO THE BEARS JARRON!

  • I don't know what that first offensive lineman was doing. His footwork was horrible, you don't step forward and shuffle your feet around when pass blocking.

  • this is a great pick. i hope they get a good safety now at 99

  • Not bad. I like the pick.

  • BEARS

  • Son of a bitch...why didnt the bears pick Michael Johnson....UGHHHH im pissed....Louis Murphy better be on the board at 99

  • Micheal Johnson is the next Alonzo Spellman.

  • too tall too skinny...at 6'7 and only 260..he needs to add about 30lbs for that size...

  • i mean after i look at some tape i cant be mad..This dude has real talent. I dont care how big you are, if you an dominate offensive linemen, you can be a real threat.

  • um, he's 6'5 288...

  • 6'7" 260? Bio says 288 with a frame that could easily add more.

  • he's 290 now.

  • I can see a Blue Star on his helmet!

  • lions better bag him tommorow

  • Two more days before he gets his Jets uniform and playbook.

  • Arizona is where he is going , They will gracc him 1st pick , this pick will set that team into a better chance for a push for another Championship appearence

  • Chargers pick him with 16th pick.

    Fuck it!

  • They didnt say he could be an OLB in a 3-4 did they? He could be a DE in 3-4 but I doubt OLB. I like his attitude.

  • With the number 32 pick, the Pittsburgh Steelers select....JG baby! Welcome to the greatest franchise in NFL history!

  • Chargers

  • I think Packers nab him in the second... Pats are going to rebuild their secondary and possibly Oline.

  • NIners need him becuz they have no d linemen except for Justin Smith

  • There is no way the 49ers take him with the 10th overall pick...the niners need a Franchise QB...they picked up Marvel Smith from the Burgh...but he was a liability on our team and im glad he is gone.

  • Pats should pick him in w/ #47 or 58

  • no way he falls that far.

steelers should pick him at 32

  • TDP , i hope the steelers do pick him. IMO i think he is the best 3-4 DE in the draft this year.

  • Yeah if he is there at 32...The Steelers will grab him. He would be a steal at 32. There is no way this guy goes into the 2nd round.

  • How much you want to bet?

  • What are you talking about??

  • looks like the bears grabbed him, what i tell you? 1st rounder..def. not, 2nd round?? steelers still didnt get em' matter of fact, they got more picks. but you guys have ziggy hood at least.

  • This dude has first round talent and is a nice solid player for the bears. Just like Michael Johnson who went to the Bears. I was glad the Steelers traded down...we got a bunch of quality picks. Ziggy fits our package better. Only negative thing about Gilbert is his play against the run...he is going to be more schematic than anything.

  • Carolina Panther Duh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I hope the Tennessee Titans draft this guy...

  • not a big name player but i like san diego picking him up in the 3rd round.

    :)

  • Not a Chance. He is a big name...where have you been? He is one of the Top 5 DT in the draft. Being that he is under 290, he will fit the 3-4 scheme perfect. The steelers just brought him in to the South Side Facility today....32nd pick....Steelers taking Gilbert.

  • well obviously hes hardly EVER talked about during the nfl network or espn or anything, hes more popular person here on youtbue, but im not saying he sucks, i think hes just not well known. ummm, steelers need to adrress that Oline 1st. so i see gilbert going to the jets, i want him in san diego but i see either the jets or packers picking him up, i just doubt that the steelers would draft him at 1st round, surely theyll draft him if hes avalible by the 2nd round.

  • The Steelers resigned their entire line back. The problem with the line was continuity...as the year progressed the o-line got better. He has mentioned con College Live and NFL live on multiple occasions. Steelers do NOT need to address the O-line first because by the 32nd pick all top Tackles and Guards will be GONE...so you do not take the 2nd round potential at 32nd....again they resigned their entire line back. No one on the steelers D-line is under 31 so it needs to be addressed ASAP.

  • well, we shall see by the end of next week, but im telling you, if the steelers dont draft him with their 1st rounder, gilbert will most likely be gone by the time your 2nd pick comes up.

  • Oh I def agree...if they dont pick him up in the 1st he will certianly be gone by the second half of the 2nd round...he has amazing skills and reminds people a lot of Julius Peppers. I def hope the steelers pick him at 32 because he can wait and pick up Eric Wood the C from Lousiville in the 2nd or 3rd Round.

  • yea, peppers? not really, peppers cant work DE in a 3-4.

  • You could never be more wrong. Peppers is 6'7 285. His athleticism is what makes him a unstoppable 4-3 DE....BUT if he goes to a 3-4 it opens the package up because he can also rush the passer and stop the run. Why do you think he wanted to be traded to a 3-4 defense team??? Come on man get a clue

  • now thats just crazy, i dont know if you noticed buddy but peppers wanted to play OLB in a 3-4 defense man. your starting to lose me man.

well im assuming your tryna tell me that peppers wanted to play DE in a 3-4 scheme???????!! if so, your crazy.

  • Ok please pick out where I said peppers can play DE in a 3-4 scheme... If you read it correctly you would see that I said the 3-4 would allow him to rush the passer and stop the run...this includes him playing up or down. What are you talking abou? You are going off on tangents of your own. Again, Peppers can play up or down...if you do not know what that means, it simply states he can play OLB or DE...he even said himself he wanted to go somewhere where his athleticism would be put at its best.

  • i wasnt go off in tangents i was just lost on what you said.

well can peppeers drop back into coverage? can peppers go man to man coverage with a tight end? i kinda dont think so, but he is pretty quick, and his height would give him quiet an advantage. but we're here talking about this guy above, jarron gilbert.

  • Looking at his production as a DT this past year, I think he can play both the 5 technique in a 30 front and would be an awesome inside presence as a 3 technique in a 40 front. Either way, he should be a good one.

  • he will play for pit next year

  • See this man on the steelers

  • he's a patriot in the second round to replace seymore

  • why would he replace seymour, richard seymour is a monster

  • Because Seymore is a free agent after this year and he's gonna want a lot of money and as you already knwo he's production is not there anymore........I love the guy but i dont want to overpay a 30 year DE

  • hes ONLY 30, thats not old, nor is it young but its a good age, you guys kept brushi and vrabel for a while and their a lot older. so i doubt NE will pick this guy up.

btw-how much cap room does seymour take up?

  • your right, but brushi or vrabel wasnt making near as much as seymour does.. and seymour contract is done after this season... would you rather have wilfolk or seymour right now?

  • i see what your saying, yea i guess so, but i still doubt that you guys can pick up gilbert, i think he'll go to the jets.

oh, by the way, i wanna know..who starts at the opposite end of seymour? Ty warren or jarvis green?

  • ty warren I, but i like javis green alot i think he gets to teh QB better than seymour and TY warren.....

  • would like to see this kid in a Patriots uniform....with the #23 pick

  • Looks like a parcells pick all over again...

  • Tyson Jackson better blow scouts away at LSU's pro day on March 16, because this kid's draft stock is on hell-hot fire. He doesn't have to participate at his schools pro day on March 20 (which he will anyway). He could be the first DE drafted next month just based off his performances during the week of the senior bowl and at the combine alone.
