  • @noahtariq30

    Good luck (movaffagh bâshid)

  • Thank you for teaching this wonderful language! You are really good. I hope to go through all of your videos and hopefully by the end i will know a reasonable amount of farsi.

    Dankeee fuer die videos!

  • Salam, shoma khub hastid?

    man khub hastam. Merci :)

  • Toller Kurs, weiter so!

  • Salam, man Awais Hastam, from pakistan

    Shoma khub hastid???

  • Thank you once again for a great video. My father is from Iran but I never learned Farsi and am teaching myself now. Khali Mamnoon!

  • Thank you very much for these video lessons. You have to be proud of being a native of this precious, sophisticated and unique language. I'm also proud of having a lot of Farsi words in my native (Turkish).

    Best regards from استانبول

  • *not "astum", i meant "astam" :)

  • Is it just common regional differences that is the cause for my persian to be slightly different in a few ways from yours? :) Like not pronouncing "h" in "hastam", only using "astum" og "asti" in the 2nd person, singular instead of "astid"? :)

    Merci, Salaam

  • Salâm,

yes, astam is the same as hastam, you hear astam mostly in Afghanestan, and hastam in Iran.

  • But when 2nd person singular, like "astid" is not a question, is it then just "asti", like:

Shoma Khub astid? Are you good/fine?

Shoma Khub asti? You are good?

    Is this correct? :)

    Merci

  • In Farsi there is no difference between a question and a statement, so the intonation is the key point!

You are good. = (shomâ) khub (h)astid.

Are you good? = (shomâ) khub (h)astid?

Hasti/asti is informal! (Talking to close friends)

Are you fine? (Informal) = (to) khub (h)asti? (Not shomâ)

  • Mamnoon! I love it.
