What's so special about this?? I had several girls on my wrestling team that went to state, and that was in 1996! And for those saying "the guy is weak" or "wimpy". REAL wrestling is really about strength. Its about endurance, and leverage. I could go up against a MUCH physically stronger oponent, and still kick his ass because I knew how to use what strength I did have to my advantage. And to Acrovader, hell yea, couldn't agree more.

He had a woody at the end, her leg was in between his, grinding away as she toppled him at the end....she conquered, she dominated, she was more powerful and she was smarter....he was left vunerable and beatable, as most men would against a strong woman.
The attraction of wrestling to hi-school girls is easy to understand. You lose to one guy after another - doesn't mean a thing. This a familiar...an unspoken part of any boy-girl relationship is male physical dominance.
So, when the girl wrestler pins ONE GUY, it feels like a million bucks. So, often enough, I would guess that a girl gets to thinking about this, and joins the team. To physically subdue a guy- she wants to feel what its like.
I beleive this guy when he says (in an earlier post) that he was recently sick and so he ran out of energy. She came back because he was exhausted...after all, she wasn't physically stronger for the first 5 minutes. He was pretty game at the end - he lost no concentration and used whatever strength he had. It took a million years for her to pin him.
But, this was a good match - both wrestlers were serious, gave their best, and there was no whining, either verbally or in body language.
It was an impressive victory for the girl, though I wish some people would stop trying to capitalize on the boy's sense of humiliation. Gender has no relevance in the fact that she was simply more athletic and outlasted him in terms of stamina. It's just the manner in which she was in control for so long that makes it seem more humiliating than it really is in principle.

I liked her response when they squared off after the ref blew his last whistle -- she went right after him and kept coming. Not the slightest concern or caution -- she was stronger than this guy and she was going to do him. No wrestling skill at play here -- just her determination to subdue.
It is all psychological against the boy. But, coaches need to help them get past that because there will only be more and more girls wrestling in the future. As for OSU's point he is right - its not the gender, but the training and skill.

my friend who has been in wrestling for like 5 years tole me that he sees bitches and dudes going at in practice and sometimes as far as finals and 1ce for the state finals but has never seen girls in it further then that. So pretty much good opponents for newbs up to finals at that school.
no girl has ever beaten my bf wrestling and he's wrestled quite a few but ive seen some wins on the girls column and it alemasy makes me just a little proud lol
The problem for the boy in my mind is this: he thinks that he's wrestling a girl but in reality, he's against a wrestler who just happens to be a girl. Big difference. Any opponent you face in competition needs to be regarded as only an opponent regardless of gender.
@MrWhogivesashit101 I doubt I was contagious anymore and I honestly felt I was well enough to wrestle but about midway through the match I really started feeling week. I never got to wrestle her again and redeem myself because the match was in the 16 and under bracket of an open tournament following my sophomore season and to make matters worse the girl was only in middle school.
This video keeps popping up under "recommended for you" and it gives me the chills because it reminds me of a match I lost to this fat inexperienced Mexican girl who could'nt wrestle for shit. I was in total control but I was just getting over the flu. I was unable to pin her and she came back to beat me at the end after I ran out of gas. This is really one of the most compelling girl beats boy videos on YT. I guess it was that female endurance winning out after the guy went limp. For any guy who has never been there let me tell you there is absolutely nothing worse than losing to a girl in wrestling, especially by pin. I'm just glad the few times it happened to me did'nt end up on You Tube for thousands of people to see. I feel really sorry for these guys.

i dont think his perception is flawed. with all due respect to females, any male who has undergone puberty and is reasonably skilled at the sport really shouldn't lose a wrestling match to a girl, unless the girl has skills on a nationwide recognition type scale. if girls were athletically equal, you wouldn't see basically every sport of physical nature dominated by males. aside from golf/nascar which involve zero physical contact, females cannot compete with males on a professional level.
You're wrong. GIrls have the potential to be just as good as boys in any sport, but many of them choose not to be because it is considered unfeminine.

how many of these girls make states or something of note in mens division? Very few. there's a reason for that - It's a rarity in the sport. If you take the 10 best female PROFESSIONAL bball players in the world can they beat an NCAA division I men's team? most likely not. same goes for any other sport involving contact. and these aren't because the girls are afraid of looking 'unfeminine'. men are athletically and physically superior to females in general.

Both wrestlers were fairly evenly matched in skill and physical ability. In the end, she won and deserves credit for that. Far more interesting is the discussion in these comments. Look folks, these are young people competing in a sport. They are not symbols of whatever pathology you want to work out of yourselves regarding the opposite sex. Not all that unusual anymore. Just in the past week I have seen two boys pinned by girls in P.S.A.L. matches in New York City including a 10th grade girl wrestling in her very first varsity match pinning a 12th grade boy.

She was a black chick named Nyasa from Wingate H.S. I overheard her saying the guy basically laughed in her face when she stepped onto the mat. It didnt seem like she was lucky she had the guy flat on his back for nearly the entire 2nd period before the ref finally called the pin. Its not often a younger girl beats a male upperclassman. I have only seen it a few times before. There were no girls when I was wrestling but I lost to a few real bimbos when I was still grappling and yes it does suck.

-The first move was a fail...then the girl took forever to sprawl...even though she could have cross-faced him because the kid put his head on her side...
-Even their stances in the beginning sucked...

The guy pulled a great one on her. What about a high crotch, which the guy tried to do on her but her "forever sprawl" stopped? It took that long because high crotches require a longer sprawl, AND he had a good hold on her, which is another reason she couldn't pop it out right away. You epicly fail, don't harsh when you suck.

i've watched practically every match a girl beat a boy and they all have one thing in common. the guy goes for the take down and fails and the girl quickly grabs his head then turns around and now has his back. if guys would just be more patient and not force the take down girls would have less of a chance. sure u can say what humiliation a girl pins a boy but lets face it i don;t care how strong ur neck is it can;t support the weight of an entire body thats why when a girl puts her hand around

I liked her response when they squared off after the ref blew his last whistle -- she went right after him and kept coming. Not the slightest concern or caution -- she was stronger than this guy and she was going to do him. No wrestling skill at play here -- just her determination to subdue.

my friend who has been in wrestling for like 5 years tole me that he sees bitches and dudes going at in practice and sometimes as far as finals and 1ce for the state finals but has never seen girls in it further then that. So pretty much good opponents for newbs up to finals at that school.

I never got to wrestle her again and redeem myself because the match was in the 16 and under bracket of an open tournament following my sophomore season and to make matters worse the girl was only in middle school.

This video keeps popping up under "recommended for you" and it gives me the chills because it reminds me of a match I lost to this fat inexperienced Mexican girl who could'nt wrestle for shit. I was in total control but I was just getting over the flu. I was unable to pin her and she came back to beat me at the end after I ran out of gas. Worst loss of my career, I really feel for this guy.

This is really one of the most compelling girl beats boy videos on YT. I guess it was that female endurance winning out after the guy went limp. For any guy who has never been there let me tell you there is absolutely nothing worse than losing to a girl in wrestling, especially by pin. I'm just glad the few times it happened to me did'nt end up on You Tube for thousands of people to see. I feel really sorry for these guys.

i dont think his perception is flawed. with all due respect to females, any male who has undergone puberty and is reasonably skilled at the sport really shouldn't lose a wrestling match to a girl, unless the girl has skills on a nationwide recognition type scale. if girls were athletically equal, you wouldn't see basically every sport of physical nature dominated by males. aside from golf/nascar which involve zero physical contact, females cannot compete with males on a professional level.

how many of these girls make states or something of note in mens division? Very few. there's a reason for that - It's a rarity in the sport. If you take the 10 best female PROFESSIONAL bball players in the world can they beat an NCAA division I men's team? most likely not. same goes for any other sport involving contact. and these aren't because the girls are afraid of looking 'unfeminine'. men are athletically and physically superior to females in general.

Also, I don't need to find a woman who is athletically superior to me in order to considered them my equal. I wrestled in college and no woman can beat me in that department, that's just a fact. Both wrestlers were fairly evenly matched in skill and physical ability. In the end, she won and deserves credit for that. Far more interesting is the discussion in these comments. She was a black chick named Nyasa from Wingate H.S. I overheard her saying the guy basically laughed in her face when she stepped onto the mat. It didnt seem like she was lucky she had the guy flat on his back for nearly the entire 2nd period before the ref finally called the pin. Its not often a younger girl beats a male upperclassman. I have only seen it a few times before. There were no girls when I was wrestling but I lost to a few real bimbos when I was still grappling and yes it does suck.
