I miss Final Fantasy, And not just number 8. But number 6,7,9,10. And the first 3 ones. Decided I'm going to download every Final Fantasy Song.
This game really does bring back memories, Being a youth, coming home playing this instead of doing my homework. And then at the end of the week have the teacher scold me for not doing It. I was always honest though. Told him I played Final Fantasy all week :)
[SPOILERS ALERT] You will never finish it on the first battle screen, you gotta run to the beach... don't hide in one of the shops from him (it will affect your rank lately), once you came to the beach, that's your chance to finish him + you won't encounter enemies along the way. You don't have to be the high level either. And without SumMag30% you can easely defeat him, don't forget to boost up the power of your GF (by smashing square button after you pressed select). [SPOILERS ALERT]

He makes the announcement, then goes down the elevator and is stopped @ floor 2 by a chick who's too lazy to run down the hall and find the kid she's looking for. I didn't like the way some of the systems in this game worked. Pretty complicated for me to this day. but I love it and all the other main FF's except XI and XIV. Of course I still haven't played IX or V or VI or II. XD I have them on my emulator except for IX I just haven't goten to them yet. Currently working on XII, I, VII, and VIII
I can't enjoy these videos anymore due to the Final Fantasy purists. I thought I could come here to enjoy some old time favorite soundtracks and read some brofist comments. But the purist cult have to be on every comment section of every FF soundtrack video rambling how the this FF is better than that FF, FF will never be the same, etc. I don't know who you people are anymore.

I figured out what happens though. It actually completely regens when it gets back up, so unless you deal a LOT of damage while it's down, it's just gonna get back up with full health.

This reminds me of a time I was in Dollet during the Galbadian invasion.... All those years ago. That was my first SEED exam I think. Selphie, Zell, Seifer (Although he was being his annoying self and running ahead) and I were checking out this communications tower. Seifer always gets cocky.. The whole thing was a bad idea. Next thing we were running away from a giant crab robot.
You don't need to Kill it to "win". If you deal enough damage, around 5000, before it repairs itself, and flee the battle, you'll gain 50 AP. This can be repeated as much as you want, and will take you about 4 minutes per try if you use Squall's Renzokuken as well as summoning Quezacotl.
I only ever had to fight that thing once. If you backtrack on the bridge like I did you don't have to fight the guy as long as you don't run into him stupidly :P
@TiffanyCullen well, that's the point of these time limited events :D when you're thinking whether you'll make it or not, while your heart is beating, your tongue sticked out and kicking that keyboard / gamepad
I remember once after fighting X-ATMo92 many times, my party was barely alive, all in critical condition, and all of a sudden I destroyed it. Me thinking: "Damn, this freakin' thing won't give up!", I was surprised.
... My last saved game... Which is the 3rd time I'm going through FFVIII, I have to load my game to this music because Quistis, Selphie, and Zell (and that orange... Rat/Fox/Coyote/Beaver/RedXIII looking thing) are all trying to escape from the... Well... Me and brother just call it the Nazi Jail for all Final Fantasy characters. xP
XII was made by the same team that did Vagrant Story and Final Fantasy Tactics, so I expected it to be at least a little bit more amazing. Haven't got a next gen console save for the Wii, so I haven't played XIII yet and can't comment on it (though the fact that I haven't rectified this yet should speak for itself). It's a shame the old development team had such a beef with the merger, though honestly I can't blame them. Well that and they HAD been going for like 10 titles already.
I'm currently playing through this and everytime I hear this I think "Oh jesus, not an improved spider bot" and I've been lucky so far...please don't tell me there's one.
I still love the little scene that happens if you try to go back to the radio tower at a later point in the game, they sic like 3 failspiderbots on you...lol

this brings bad memories of that metal slugged spider. i mean I had to kill spiders for my two younger sisters but this thing was like the revenge of every spider I killed XD
@realmichaelmyers may be but you did get like 50 sp every time you whooped it's ass! :D i beat it like 4 times in those 20 minutes XD Limit break Renzokuken doing around 500 damage every hit for the win!! :D
Whenever someone references FF8, and they ask "What's the name of that giant robot spider you have to run away from?", my head automatically swerves around and I go:
i actually did kill that X ATM092... or the big spider, how you call it... but you can't do that right under the tower, where it attacks you for the first time... i killed it with repeated attacks of Quezacotl, and of course, with help of other GFs, down on the bridge where it jumps in front of you... You get some rare item.. I'm sorry but I don't remember what does that item do :/

Yup! He actually has like 8 lives. You can tell when you took one away when it's down, trying to recover, and you hit it and somehow immediately recovers from 10% XP Just gotta make sure you take it out before it reaches 100% or you'll have to get zapped and blasted all over again o_-''
@2ndmarine lives? o_O I didn't knew that thing with lives.. all I know is that I kept on calling Quezacotl and hitting it, while I was swearing and screaming when it recovered xD and I know that i had 5 or so minutes left when I killed it... yep.. it was intense battle... interesting, annoying, and yet intense xD
@RaceBandit well I didn't count how many times it recovered, but I think it's five or so... what I'm trying to say is, just keep on calling Quezacotl along with Ifrit and Shiva... and maybe one Blind spell will help you avoid physical attacks... try it, combine it and you'll destroy it sooner or later :D

... My last saved game... Which is the 3rd time I'm going through FFVIII, I have to load my game to this music because Quistis, Selphie, and Zell (and that orange... Rat/Fox/Coyote/Beaver/RedXIII looking thing) are all trying to escape from the... Well... Me and brother just call it the Nazi Jail for all Final Fantasy characters. xP

XII was made by the same team that did Vagrant Story and Final Fantasy Tactics, so I expected it to be at least a little bit more amazing. Haven't got a next gen console save for the Wii, so I haven't played XIII yet and can't comment on it (though the fact that I haven't rectified this yet should speak for itself). It's a shame the old development team had such a beef with the merger, though honestly I can't blame them. Well that and they HAD been going for like 10 titles already.

i actually did kill that X ATM092... or the big spider, how you call it... but you can't do that right under the tower, where it attacks you for the first time... i killed it with repeated attacks of Quezacotl, and of course, with help of other GFs, down on the bridge where it jumps in front of you... You get some rare item.. I'm sorry but I don't remember what does that item do :/
The point is - that spider thingy is possible to destroy :D

Yup! He actually has like 8 lives. You can tell when you took one away when it's down, trying to recover, and you hit it and somehow immediately recovers from 10% XP Just gotta make sure you take it out before it reaches 100% or you'll have to get zapped and blasted all over again o_-''

@2ndmarine lives? o_O I didn't knew that thing with lives.. all I know is that I kept on calling Quezacotl and hitting it, while I was swearing and screaming when it recovered xD and I know that i had 5 or so minutes left when I killed it... yep.. it was intense battle... interesting, annoying, and yet intense xD

@RaceBandit well I didn't count how many times it recovered, but I think it's five or so... what I'm trying to say is, just keep on calling Quezacotl along with Ifrit and Shiva... and maybe one Blind spell will help you avoid physical attacks... try it, combine it and you'll destroy it sooner or later :D
