maybe not, but friends can influence you into other kinds of sin, just remember not everyone can stand strong and hold to their faith in Christ when being influenced by friends who are not saved.
everyone has something that they do is wrong, jesus came for the sinners, not the perfect ppl. everyone needs to see the love of god so you have to show them that theyre worth your time, or i guess you could show them gods love by treating them as if theyre disposeable because they havent come to a decision to follow god yet. that should bring them to god. show them that th cchurch is so internalized that they couldnt give the time of day to ppl out of the wlls
Okay, this is anil, i'll let ryan respond later but let me just put in my two cents. We here at mark 16 believe fully in stepping outside the church and serving others and reaching the lost as most of the modern day church doesn't.
I am all for hanging out with sinners and showing them love, but if my friends start to influence me into compromising my relationship with God then I have to draw a line somewhere and try to back of a little. Not condemn but to take a stand, if my friends kept on asking me consistently to join them in doing something that is wrong then I will have to back regardless of wether my friends are christians or not.
for stuff like drugs they can influence you to do it, but masterbation cant really be influenced on you, its your choice, sure you can say i did it cuz they made me do it, but that doesnt cut it wen your dead and in front of god, then you have to say that you made a choice to do it. its not their fault its yours
Friends can get you into anything, you can be influences into trying everything. If I had never seen porn before and my friends convinced me to watch it then it was their influence. But I oviously couldn't use that as an excuse infront of God. The point is bad company corrupts good character and we should be careful about who we choose to hang out with.
