  • I like it

  • Apparently Common Sense doesn't exist in Canada

  • Hey @darkumbra93, thanks for compiling these.

  • ya pussies, it's not disturbing at all.

  • i guess they were trying to raise awareness, but they are so over the top they become hysterical!

  • O-o I don't want to go to work today. I might have an accident at the gas station.

  • WHY IS NOBODY SURPRISED THAT THE PEOPLE ARE ALIVE??

  • Oh the second one made me LOL.

  • Ugh. Really? I understand wanting to prevent actual accidents from happening, but this is just too much. If you think that you have to scare someone into following safety procedures and doing the responsible thing, then you must think they're stupid. I like to think that Canadian youth is smarter than that.

  • These ads are by FAR scarier than anything American Hollywood could produce in a horror movie . Who knew Canadians could be so good at inspiring terror! More Canuck horror please! I want to see a whole movie. They could be like the Japanese and have their entire ''horror genre''.

  • @Counterbrilliance i know, they really need to tap into this!

  • You know, in fact, a lot of the examples are due to BOTH the worker and the company. Worker: not cleaning up the grease. Company: putting deep fryer too close to an oven. Worker: wearing a broken harness. Company: not checking the tanks. Worker: Not paying attention while driving. Company: Storing too much weight on the top shelf. Worker: reaching too far off the side. Company: Not enforcing a two-person policy. Worker: Not wearing safety equipment. Company: No training in high-voltage work.

  • Of course, sometimes it can be from a neglectful company too. Either way, most accidents are due to someone going "eh, I'll replace that tomorrow. What's gonna happen?"

  • For those who don't get what's going in. What they're saying is that there's no "accidents." You left the grease on the floor. You should have learned what to do. You fucked up.

  • i saw these for a video today at my school, my teacher replayed the girl falling from that ladder over and over again. I got sick from seeing the kitchen one.

  • The ontario gov needs to put these back on t.v. so our younger workers can see!!!

  • These teach me that Canadians are truly hardass and can reason calmly with multiple spikes through their bodies. And they sometimes also come back as reasoning, talking zombies.

  • also i wonder if this is how the zombie Apocalypse happens....they dead coming up and shaming us incessantly.

  • ok so for the ladder girl....was she blaming herself, the other chick, or the company? i feel like this is the ad campaign for "darwinism" half the time..

  • hi funnyjunk!

  • Well, we'll be goofed... An accident has arrived fellas...

  • Keep pressing 6

  • Oh dear god...i am now scared of EVERYTHING.

  • The 4th one.

SHUT UP BITCH THAT WAS CLEARLY YOUR FAULT.

  • @TheSamee I THOUGHT THAT. i saw nothing wrong with the ladder and she was trying to lean over into fuckin narnia

  • Hahahahahhaa

Who actually shouts "THERE'S BEEN AN ACCIDENT!" when an accident happens? Usually it's "OH SHIT!"

I'm actually eager in anticipation for the first fail video now where someone exclaims "THERE'S BEEN AN ACCIDENT!" in reference to these ads.

  • dam accident, u scary!

  • @TheBigHunger70 haha

  • At least i came here AFTER watching porn

  • Holy shit, there's a difference between raising awareness and fucking scarring you for life.

  • @dalluc Scarring you...WITH AWARENESS! ;D *thumbs up*

  • Sometimes I feel like our country is doing its best to traumatize small children.

I remember seeing these on TV when I was about 10. God they're awful.

  • Funny how 2 out of 5 PSA's had women in them when in reality over 95% of workplace injuries are male. Why is it that even when men suffer more they have to give more to women anyway?

  • 1st one was so scary man WOW

  • some final destination shit man!

  • The second one is racist because hes they burn him and really canada in australia we have like that but not as fucked up with dead rando shit, imagine how kids and adults u have scared for life, now no one will wont to work

  • @xhaydos09x comment fail. you missed out some words...

  • @xhaydos09x ...How is it racist...

  • The last one...! Well now I'm afraid to be an electrician! D:

  • thid was fucking funny

  • WTF zombies !!

  • Is it wrong that I think the retail store girl is hot?

  • These commercials make their point, but sometimes its really not the employee's fault. You either do it, or they will find someone else who will... period

  • I've watched a live video of a gang member get his head cut off with a chainsaw, and right after a man get his head sawn off with a knife. This still fucked with me pretty hard core. So, looks like Canada fianlly found a usee, scaring the shit out of people....

  • Fuck this shit is scary I'm watching this right before going to bed O.O

  • the ladder accident would have gone something like this for me, "PFFFFFFT HAHAHAHAHAHA, OH MY GOD DID ANYONE GET THAT ON TAPE? HOLY SHIT HAHAHAHAHA, no seriously are you ok? HAHAHAHAHAHA I GIVE YOU A 9/10, YOU COULD HAVE STUCK THE LANDING MORE HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!"

  • Canada has a real problem with zombies.

  • Moral of the story is? GO TO COLLEGE OR UNIVESIRTY, SECURE YOUR FUTURE! DONT DO THE DIRTY JOBS, BE A DOC, LAWYER OR CA

  • When I was 16 I slipped in some grease at Burger King :(

  • If that ladder accident happened around me, 911 would have to decipher what I say through crippling bouts of laughter.

  • accident? there was no accident, i'm fine :P i'll walk it off. waht all this glass? just a flesh wound

  • She practically jumped off of the ladder i mean what was she expecting?

  • Tricky, but I was finally able to masturbate to this.

  • well looks like woman cant cook either what can they do good?

  • @ninendowii2000 kick you in the balls

  • @LuckyNumber8 - I agree that discussing employee error is not *always* victim blaming, but despite the intent, it's not *discussed* in these. It's raised in a fleeting, single sentence, and it's one of multiple messages; there is no blatant, unifying message about employer/employee joint responsibility. It's great to be subtle in movies/TV, but in a serious 30-second ad you can't assume a message will be obvious to the average viewer--it's usually not the case, and it's not the case in these.

  • walk it off

  • Being told by a zombie must suck.

  • 1:33 Well at least he´s still alive!

  • I'm unclear as to the takeaway message here for workers or workplace injury victims: quit their job because they'll be safer at home?

There is some employer responsibility messaging, which I like; then, there is also victim blaming, an approach I don't personally care for, especially for serious and fatal injuries. But there is no solid message about what can be done to prevent workplace injuries.

It's not good strategy to use scare tactics, and then give no outlet for action.

  • @gyrlsrock Discussing employee error is not victim blaming. It's just the truth. In almost every accident, both the employee and employer have some responsibility, as the ads indicate quite tactfully in my opinion (not properly wearing safety gear, cleaning spills etc.) If anything, serious and fatal injuries are where you should most definitely highlight employee error, because that's the risk a worker has the most control over.

  • There is truth in these ads but "There really are no accidents"? Really? A deer runs across a road immediately in front of a car. The result is obviously the deers mothers fault for not teaching him to look both ways...

  • @TimArmst I'm pretty sure the message is limited to workplace accidents. ^^"

  • They all sound american except the CEO in #5!

  • The 2ed one is unintentionally funny. It reminds me of the hilarious suicide scene from Riki-Oh (not the anime version).

  • ouch lol

  • Note how all of these commercials have the same thing in common....everyone admitted they were at fault....no liability, lol.

  • great now im scared for my life

  • I felt really bad because the last video immediately made me think of inFamous,

  • This is union scare tactics, accidents happen and someone isn't always to blame. JUST THINK ABOUT WORK WHILE WORKING...

  • after reading "all 5 ads" i thought to myself i'l watch one... ohh i had to watch them all rofl

  • I just watched the first one, and I immediately pressed stop. My mind can't take this.

  • @America2470 You must have a pretty weak mind.

  • Unless they did it on purpose then it is a fucking accident,

  • @Diamondmaster93 Not legally. In an accident, no one is responsible.

  • At least the black guy didnt die first...

  • @PBJT44 no one likes a number 2

  • Clearly they didn't follow the TO

  • That fryer oil one made me cringe. The screaming...

  • @IrritatedHomelessMan Made me giggle.... Imm going to hell.....

  • I feel bad for laughing. I know it's meant to be shocking, but a lot of it came off as horror-comedy.

  • best comedy ever i lol'd so god damn hard

  • @blackthorn2200 You oughta be sterilized.

  • Holy motherf$ck$n sh*t.....this is effective~!

  • I lold

  • what the fuck

  • Shocking adverts for shocking realities... that only seems fair to me

  • they all seemed like a bunch of modern warfare 3 ads

  • It's like final destination

  • the ladder did not need to be replaced I'm sorry...

  • and thats why I quite my last job. Its was an "accident" waiting to happen.

  • Does Canada have a problem with Zombies or something?

  • @Jordannadroj20 Nope, we just want to have safe workplaces :]

  • the first one is really disturbing because i kno how it feels like to get boiling water on skin... some sprinkled my pinky last weekend, i cant imagine having my whole face drenched with it!

  • Damn, they air such comedic commercials in Canada<3

  • The funniest ones were when the cook burned her face off with the boiling water or oil and the one where the retail lady fell off the ladder and smashed through the display case. I laughed so hard, lol.

  • The first one was fucking horrifying. The rest got more and more outrageously unlikley, culminating in a zombie. A fucking zombie.

  • @DrButler

It's not a zombie, it's the actor delivering a line after their character is dead.

  • i laughed trough the whole thing. except for the first one. what the actual fuck is this LOL

  • If someone is offended by these commercials and think they're too "over the top" or "gruesome," think about it. Shit like this can happen, and if a commercial needs to be controversial or bloody or violent to get its point across, so be it. At least it's still getting your attention.

  • FYI, to people who are complaining about how it's "not in any way funny": The reason people are laughing (yes, I chuckled a bit) is because of how fake it is. Surely these accidents could happen in real-life, but what with the way it's shot and the "zombies", it's hard not to laugh. Show a workplace safety film with actual footage of real people dying, and I can assure you that no one will be laughing. However, show something fake like this, and be prepared for some laughs.

  • "The Company" must be diabolical to cause all those things to happen due to their supposed "negligence"...

  • I like how she smacks her head on the way down.

  • are you kidding me

  • I like these PSAs, it's telling people that "accidents" can sometimes be the fault of negligence from the company.

The people in these commercials are just telling people to keep their workplaces safe to prevent accidents.

  • Lmao omg that kitchen one is soooo funny, that shit NEVER happens

  • Damn, Canada. You scary.

  • HOLY JESUS.

I'm American, and as such, I thought I'd seen it all - but holy fuck, was I wrong. These commercials were shocking, and really intense. I regret watching these only because I now know that I will probably have nightmares of "accidents" like these happening to me... awesome... >.>

  • >Massive explosion

    "There's been an accident!"

    No shit

  • @MrFriendlyFella Lmao so funny, blown up guy falls 6 stories and hit by a car, like theres nothing you can do

  • The second one. I'm sorry, I laughed a little.

  • oh man those special effects look so real! All hail 21st century CG :D

  • What the actual fuck?

  • 1:54 DO A BARREL ROLL!!!!

  • I remember seeing the chef one for the first time on TV. The worst part was that it was so unexpected. It starts off all nice, oh she's getting married, and then suddenly you hear that horrible, chilling scream just echo...

  • @SweetMusicbabii Oh yeah. I watched it for the first time, but it's not the scream that got me. The fact that they showed her face - even IF it was for a second - was absolutely scarring!

  • Wait a minute... these people announced they were about (Canadian: aboot) to die. Why didn't they, like, stop doing what they were doing and get out of the way of the accident?

  • Its sad how nobody takes this seriously. You do know this stuff happens more offten then you think? This stuff could happen to you and guess what? Can't do anything about it when you're dead..

  • The first one makes me cry.. Every goddamn time.

  • the funny thing is that this stuff happens a lot more often in america then in canada

  • Whoa, i never want to die in Canada or else i'll become zombie...

  • The lesson is: Never get a job in Canada.

  • Lmfao Watched this is in class.. and after the 1st one every1 was like holy fuhk... It was very interesting

  • Seriously fucked up Commercials, but it's True.

  • The girl's scream from the very first one won't get out of my head.

  • @Khepritachiquita yea teh first ones definitely the most fucked up

  • Final Destination 6.

  • He left the torch on....

  • @JayKoach the supervisor didn't check the tanks

  • BLAME CANADA.

  • I appreciate that these ads put the blame on all parties involved, not just the employers or the employees

  • And I thought Japan was fucked up.

  • omigod, I'm like so clumsy and forgetful....

I AM NEVER GOING TO WORK

    EVER

    (I don't wanna be a bloody zombie;(

  • WTF is up with Canada??????

  • @kingpie1012 there taking a "scared straight" approach to their safety announcements

  • Just let me tell you, there are true accidents from unexpected outcomes that you cant prevent effectively. But 99.9% of accidents are due to human negligence and have step-by-step instructions that would never occur if followed. Ive seen stupid shit before, like a forklift holding nuclear waste on top of another forklift, or people who dont depressurize the environment around the control rods, so when opened, they shoot out and impale the guy, yes that was real. Work codes, people!

  • @Pimpmastahanhduece fukishima putting their deisel generators underground instead as high up as possible with batteries that last less than one day. or BP not changing the stupid fucking battery in the autoshutoff. Why do we need to wait until disasters happen to RE-learn what we already know, and then forget it 20 years down the line?

  • thats not how move frying oil.

  • Hold on. Chick fell off a ladder and it's the ladder's fault?

  • @LordOz1979 What? The chick fell off the ladder and it was everyone's fault. Other chick didn't steady the ladder, company didn't replace the wire, chick was reaching for a far away wire on a ladder.

  • damn the 1 the scared me the most waz the first 1

  • This was funny.

  • ... Fuck. These are effective. I'm scared shitless to go to work on monday now 0.0

  • Shit, this is like Final Destination.

  • One word: Zombrex. ;)

  • I laughed my ass off at the second commercial.

  • 1:20

    OH MY GOD!

    Watch out for Klaus!

  • Oh no, that's my bad. My computer was echoing it.

  • The echoes give it a

    really bad effect.

  • @frenchy1824 Admit it, youre jealous of our amazing Quebecois.

  • @KimdraElliottVoelkel Failure. I am Canadian.

  • I remember seeing the electrician one, the guy falling and the chick getting roasted by the grease on tv. That scared the hell out of me.

  • This is why people think bad about canada o.o

  • After that woman fell I was really worried that she was hurt, but then she got up and was talking so I guess everything is okay! I'm going to go try hanging in store marketing in a similar manner tomorrow and maybe I'll have an "accident" because falling like that looks like fun.

Also, did that black guy in the last segment look like he had Vitiligo?

  • I love it !

  • im jealous of ur beast vid making

  • holy cow, if someone got up and start rambling away after such a horrible mess they became (and after they freaking died) i would have run to another direction, not just stare.

  • Great, now I never want to go outside...thanks

  • #4 the store accident? Thats not an accident, thats a TLC match the only accident is Good ol J.R wasn't announcing when this happened.

  • ahahaha the one where the guy rises out of the coffin KILL IT WITH FIYAAA

  • Okay i'm impressed two immortals and one zombie...

    Awesome.

  • oh my god is this shit for real? god damn, canadians are hardcore. when they wanna get their point across, they get their fucking point across dont they? holy shit.

  • Make fun all you want, Americans. These are at least true. You just have to thi- oh, wait, oops! Sorry! Never mind.

  • well if this is what Canada is like this is what I learned

    1) Canada has a zombie problem

    2) If you die in Canada it is ALWAYS your fault

    3) Canadians do not know how to use ladders

and 4) they keep heated vats of highly corrosive liquid in restaurant kitchens.

  • @Eso8911 you are spot on on 2 that is why we always apologize

  • @Eso8911

Re: 4) Its fryer oil. I worked with a guy who slipped while lifting a vat of fryer oil onto a shelf to cool. The oil poured all over his legs, melted his polyester pants (not allowed in the kitchen, btw) onto his legs. Third and second degree burns. That was the last we saw of him.

  • @Eso8911 it was boiling water that cooked her skin.

  • @Eso8911 If this is really what you took away from the video, then you are sadly mistaken. I am a Safety Instructor and use these videos in front of every class. They clearly show where human error lies in ALL accidents. In order to HELP their employees, EmployERS send their workers to training classes so that they take an active roll in helping them do their jobs more safely. In nearly EVERY accident, there are 2 faults. EmployEE, and EmployER. Safety is not a joke, don't make light of it

  • @thdmoney Don't make light of it? We wouldnt if the commercial didnt have zombies, people being blown off of high-rises into trucks, and restaurants that apparently double as chemical refineries. These ads are a joke,flat-out.

  • @thdmoney You make good points, and I also want to reply to Eso9811 by saying that kitchens don't store "highly corrosive liquids", but rather that the woman in question was carrying a huge pot of BOILING liquid, and then slipped on grease, hence spilling said boiling liquid all over her face. That is more than enough to cause life-changing, if not life-threatening injuries.

That said, these videos are a bit over the top and alarmist, and I feel sorry for any kids who see them.

  • @prometheuszero9 These videos are not directed at kids, so I don't feel like you should worry about their reaction. But I don't feel they're too "over the top", they're pretty realistic cases of "accidents" that could happen.

  • It's a great idea for commercials they're just idiots -.-

  • Final Destination canadian version

  • Ok the first one was scary as fuck. 2 made me laugh since the dummy was so obvious. 3, 4 and 5 were just silly. The message? Be safe in the work place, or else you'll survive and blame your company for the "accident" that happened. Also the scream in the 4th one was so bad and flat I laughed so hard. Its like she flatly read the word "aaah" off a paper. It's a shame since these ads had such potential and such a great message.
