I get round this kind of thing by eating Jordans muslie..the one with no added anything...It's bloody filling and I just dont want to eat the crap others are eating after a bowl of that.
It's better to lose weight slowly. When you lose weight too quickly there's more chance of putting it all back on again, plus more, as it messes up your metabolism. Also, reward meals are an important part of a weight loss diet. So I say enjoy that takeaway. If you're still losing a little weight every week and still managing to enjoy the takeaway at the weekend, Go for it!! nom nom nom nom!
Hey Rooby (I still want to call you VeeBee). I'm there with you. I was terrified of getting diabetes or lung cancer and began to exercise. I went to the gym, gave up smoking, and began lifting weights. I've lost 55 lbs over the course of a year. I've lost a lot of weight, but it was a very slooow process that I've come to realize there isn't a quick fix. It's a lifelong life change that I now love. I'm not a vegan or a health nut, I just eat less and work out hard. I feel amazing. You can do it!
@trashywilma The important thing is to grow to love your body. I'm still a long way from where I want to be, but my heart is strong, I have muscles, and I'm healthy. I'm learning to love my body. Anybody who doesn't is free not to look at it. :)

I heard a group of older boys sniggering and giggling then a 'hah look this fat bitch' as I approached. I flipped em the bird and walked on but man I was crushed. :(

and i think you can eat indian take-away, just choose carefully! stuff like sag paneer, curries, spicey whatever - that will help you lose weight! just eat veggie stuff, and curries, yeah!

I think im finding ppls weight again myself I drop off a bit an then it comes right back.Search for doctor steve brule on youtube. If you watch a few clips of it you will laugh so hard you will for get to eat.
The best way to do it is to figure how many calories you need to eat to continue to lose weight. Many sites have that info ... then you can check how many the naan bread and the curry have to evaluate how much you can have. Or you can simply cut out the bread and eat half of the curry I'm sure that would make a diff. You can also cut back on what you eat throughout the day if you know you are eating out in the evening :)
@crazypaigegurl Well I took a friend's advice and DID have the takeout food but went for tarka daal and boiled rice. Lentils and rice can't be bad, right?
I didn't lose any weight overnight like I have been doing BUT I didn't gain any either. So YAY. x
You are awesome. :) congrats on the continued weight loss. Just make a plate with a small portion of everything you like and only have that one plate. It isn't easy and I know this from experience but it can be done. I did it. one example is I would (since turkey day etc. is coming up) I would load up on mashed potatoes to the point it took up most of the plate but now I just take a little and smaller portions of all. I get to taste everything I like without packing on pounds later.
@RoobyJuice oh I know, mashed tatoes rule! have you ever tried them with the peel in? I never did until I moved to Texas and OMG... mash on a whole other level I thought. :)
