  • The best anti air I saw you're making is jump kick (lol) ... Its kinna hard for me to anticipate a player jumping and countering it with a jump kick. Yes, basic stuff like jump kick, low kicks are very important in a match.

    I liked that jump punch in air then followed by one of Kenshi specials.

  • @BravoMo1982 What do you mean? I repeatedly anti-air with jump punches into combo, and with Rising Karmas from a distance in this fight... The jumpkick AA isn't much really... Also, I AA a lot with 2 1, which I confirm into Rising Karma, but I never used it effectively here.

  • @UnderTheMayo I watched it .. You did that many times (regular jump kick) to counter air jumper from NW (lol). Or the AA punch into rising Karma.

  • @UnderTheMayo Dude, I played a guy with Kenshi in Ranked matches yesterday, but lost to him cuz I had poor meter management. But that Kenshi guy was similar to yours in some way !

    Baraka needs good meter management for his Ex Blade charge besides the breakers. So, he is very tough to use for that reason.

  • Nice fights, guys! I've never seen Kenshi do so well against Nightwolf before. I have to admit, up until I played LordOfTheFly at EVO I really underestimated Nightwolf's abilities. He's such a powerhouse.

    You do know that you can whiff Nightwolf's Shoulder Charge simply by ducking without blocking, correct? Just a side-note.

  • I really like your Kenshi. Similar to mine, but you're a lot calmer and steady with your moves against a good NW (he's my worse match up with anyone really). The only thing I wanna add is you can just duck without blocking to completely avoid NW's shoulder ram if it isn't an EX one, but the way you handled it was probably better anyway.. Great video man.

  • @Gazoya @Gazoya Thanks. Against NW you have to be very very cool headed to win. That's what I'm discovering. Because NW is just a ton and a half of kick-your-ass. And yeah I know I can punish the charge, but I'm so scared of it. I never predict it right. And waiting low without blocking is pretty dangerous against NW because of his F3 starter. And also the way you beat kenshi is to stay in his face, so those charges are gonna be very surprising. I'm gonna work on punishing with 1 1 4.

  • I know Rising Karma is a great anti air when used efectively, but I can tell you had some trouble timing it, its too bad Kenshi's uppercut is so terrible.

    You really know what your doing. Very nice high-level play Mayo.

  • @TheSolitude2IZ Since it doesn't come out instantly like a KL spin or something, using it for anti-air on reaction can be dangerous. Especially since it's hard to judge the distant sometimes. There's always that chance that they could be slightly too close and you'll whiff and get combo'd. That's why Kenshi's jumping punch is so great cause it combos into RK. And thanks for you message about me being a top 5 kenshi. I've been working very hard on him. He's my style. Gotta get in more 2 1 pokes!
