Resistance is being organized! It´s working! Their spooked like hell at Congress. They have no vote. Get on the phone, fax and email ... and phone you representatives and tell them you will not vote for them if they pass this bill. For further support like for numbers go on the page above.
As stated citizens your Cowardly Congress is caving in. Vote them out. Stop being so afraid of a third party candidate. After this debacle they sure are.
The GOP has brought us war, increased poverty, cuts to education and healthcare and the greatest disparity in wealth in the history of our republic. Bush has brought us international shame, questionable if not outright stolen elections and now we are going to give the GOP what they want, no oversight, a blank check for the billionaires?
Completely agreed but will the Democrats support a proposal like the one John P. Hussman, Ph.D., President of Hussman Investment Trust has sent to Congress. Of course not. Ron Paul, Jim Bunning and yes Ralph Nader are the only honest voices in Government that are not for this con job. There must be something in the food chain and water to make Americans so tolerant of lying coniving politicians.
I have always resented Nader as a spoiler. But I have to agree that he is speaking truth. Unfortunately he doesn't seem to be big on the TV talkshow circuit. The wolves are watching the henhouse.
Boehner is another republican joke. Boehner supported every deregulation bill that came to the floor. Now he is acting like the republicans will be the savior of us all, when thy are the ones who put us in this situation with McCain leading the charge.
Mrs Pelosi considering one of Chriss Dodds pals is Mr Mozillo from Countrywide how do you think this looks? You are in charge of a Democratic controlled house but as usual will cave in to support this bill because you are a coward. It took something that smelled as bad as this bailout to convince the American people that neither your party nor the Democratic party can make a difference in washington. Thank you Ron paul for warning us about this so long ago. Unfortunately nobody was listening.
Your facts are wrong. It was republicans who did away with regulations for the banking industry. George (I'm a dummy)Bush and John McCain leading the charge.

A very BAD case of the shits is SMARTER than John Boehner.
He's one of the main reasons why RepubliCONs lost 55 US Senate & House Seats over a 2 year period. What a dumb-shit!
Obama's ties with Ayers = 0 Dead
W's ties/lies with Iraq = 4250+ Dead (& hundreds of BILLION$ spent unnecessarily)

Before you use this as a lying campaign tool, realize that enough voters use their heads more than hat racks and look the facts and figure up.

democrats are not innocent; Bill Clinton signed the deregulation of the housing lending back in his 8 year presidency.
Look at the list of the people who benifited from Frannie and Freddie; democrats and OBAMA second on the list.
Fannie and Freddie is insured by the goverment/ taxpayers.

Bail out the people living in the houses.
Not the ones that bought a lot of houses for quick turnovers, only those who plan to live in the houses at least 5 - 10 years.
Freeze their interest rates if necessary.
Let the Mortgage industry take the losses not the home owners.
Provide the money over an extended period of time, just like the mortgages are paid over an extended period of time.
Stop all lending to bad risks.

Bush and the Republicans have called for reform of Fannie Mae since 2002.
Democrats didn't want to do it.
Democrats controlled the Senate most of 2001, all of 2002, all of 2007 and all of 2008.
