  • hi ! first of all, thanks for posting this kind of stuff, is very useful ! I would like to know your personal opinion, since you have both cameras: which one is better? Im not sure if wait and get the vivitar shipped from ebay, or buy the superheadz (cause its sold in my country). Are both kind of similar, or would you recommend me to buy the vivitar ultra wide&slim? The superheadz is reliable?

    Thank you in advance !

    xx

    Sofia

  • So it's basically the same as a disposable camera, except that it's not disposable.

  • To get double exposures you can simply reload the role of film that has already been shot.

  • I have another question sorry D:

Are all the superheadz ultra wide & slim cameras the same? it doesn't depend on the color they are right?

I mean, the pink one for example, takes good pictures just like the black evil one?

  • @ohbarbylicious The various cameras only differ in color, not their lens or operation, so yes, they all take the same kinds of photos.

  • Do you think this is a great camera to start taking photos with a film?

Do jelly lenses fit this camera?

  • @ohbarbylicious The camera lacks any controls, so you have to be aware of it's limitations, but other than that, I love shooting with this simple plastic camera with the extra wide angle lens. Go to flickr and see the images people make with their slim cameras, or the vivitar ultra wide and slim.

  • @ashleeLOVESmuse In comparison to other 35mm cameras, the images are a bit fuzzy and out of focus. It is, after all, a Lo-Fi camera. In comparison to other Lo-Fi cameras, it produces wonderfully fuzzy and slightly out of focus images. Its super wide angle lens makes exceptionally nice wide angle photos you won't get with most cameras.

  • @notebookscribbles, No, the lack of controls on the Slim Cameras means it can't do double exposures. For that capability, take a look at the Lomography La Sardina cameras. It has a similar super wide angle lens, as well as similar controls as the Holga 135 camera. It also has a special multiple exposure (mx) switch that allows it to take double exposures.

  • Hi, do you know if this camera is able to take double exposures? Many thanks :)

  • So in comparison to any other 35mm camera, how good is the image quality? It was kind of hard to tell in the video. And sorry if you said this, but how do you focus? Is it just a point and shoot or does that thing on the front let you focus?

  • @ashleeLOVESmuse Compared to standard 35mm film cameras, the images won't be quite as sharp. Compared to other lo-fi film cameras, I love this super wide angle lens. There are no controls on the Slim Cameras, so it's more like a disposable. If you want more flexibility and control, take a look at the new Lomography La Sardina cameras. It has a similar 22mm super wide lens, plus the ability to use flash, a N and B shutter setting, and 2 apertures.

  • so does it pretty much have the same effect as disposable cameras?

  • @GraveyardForLovers While this camera shares the same basic lack of controls that disposable cameras have, the thing that makes this camera special is it's extraordinary super wide angle 22mm lens. In that respect, this camera blows the disposables out of the water.

  • Got mines on Amazon.com Blue ribbon super fat lens.Have'nt tried yet but has great reviews

  • Hi! I've got a Holga and I just bought this camera. I've got a question, it should be all mechanic, so when the camera is open and there's no film in it, if you push the shutter button, you should be able to see through the aperture for a fraction of a second, right? I'm afraid my camera is faulty :(

    Thanks!

  • where did you buy yours?

  • @xXRabbitmanXx I got mine through amazon. Go there and search for superheadz wide and a slim

  • The pics at the end was made with cross process? :) or nomal?

  • @ohbarbylicious It was shot with normal negative film, no cross processing.

  • @kaituba That's nice :) I'm getting into lomo photography ♥ and i'm planning to get a superheadz wide&slim or a Olympus XA2 to start, i'm just new at photography in general . all is completly new for me! some people told me that those ones are good to use to learn, what do you think about it? ^_^ any suggestions?

  • is there any accessories with this camera?

  • @RAZALAS92e The only accessory I am aware of is the Fisheye lens. You can get it at the fourcornerstoreDOTcom (replace the DOT with a . - sorry youtube doesn't like links)

  • Does this camera come with a wrist strap? If not, would I be able to get a wrist strap and somehow put it on the camera?

  • @elijahteitelbaum Yes, mine came with a wrist strap.

  • Can the UWS do multiple exposures? I am really looking forward to get one soon. It looks great and it takes great photos! It's cheap, too! What's not to like XD

  • @emotionless17 Sirry, the UWS and the Supeerheadz Slim cams cannot really do double exposures. the shutter cocking mechanism is tied into the film advance mechanism, so you get one shot per frame.

  • @kaituba Ooh, the only way to do that would be to mod the thing, hahaha. Thanks!

  • Cool video, can you understand the Japanese 山田さん?

  • @tmrdrgz Thanks, I understood that, but 残念、しかし私日本語を話してはいけない。

  • how is this camera in low light or indoor conditions? btw thanks for introducing me tot his cam!

  • @fadondk sorry it took me so long to answer this. I seem to have overlooked your question. This camera is not suited to low light conditions, since it has no controls and no tripod socket. For that, take a look at the Holga 135.

  • @kaituba its ok... funny thing is i have already bought the holga 135bc! thanks again :D

  • I wish i could get this camera.

  • um, question. are there any fisheye lenses available for the diana f+ model?

  • Yes, the Diana+ fisheye lens will work with the Diana F+. Go to the Lomography site and check it out.

  • Gasworks Park. It's one of my favorite places to shoot. Nice afternoon light, and interesting things to photograph!

  • Seattle Gas Works Park nice place to take some pics!!!!

  • Are many people using 35mm any more? Is this camera worth buying? I though medium format film was trying to talk over the industry.

  • In the past, one might have considered a 35mm vs medium format war, but these days, film is losing against digital. Is it worth buying? If you love the look of analog, certainly.

  • it's just a copy/clone of the super rare vivitar uws camera.... but this superheadz is much more expensive then uws...

  • It is a clone, but is almost an exact copy, so it is a good clone. Much more expensive?? I have seen Vivitar UWS cameras go for about the same amount ($30US) on ebay, that is, if you could find one. As you point out, they are rare and hard to find. I was fortunate to find my UWS at a thrift store.

  • wow... that is expensive... here in singapore, for a 2nd hand uws, is abt SG$15-30.. more or less the some.. but 4 the superheadz, a brand new one is SG$50+.. n there is another uws japanese clone call 'Popeye' is way much more expensive.. SG$100+.. n all this cameres are the same. went vivitar uws was 1st sold in singapore n brand new, it's only sold for SG$25.. i got my from some dude for SG$15...

  • Cool video, camera looks and sounds awesome. Wide Angle shots are the greatest
