It is going to be harder with the grill guard on. You will need to pull the headlight assembly completely out. There are two #10 bolts on the top of the light and another on the bottom. You will need to access the bottom screw via the wheel well.
hey there. i have a 2008 Chevy Silverado and i wanna put wig wags and strobe lights in my head lights. any suggestions on the easiest way to go about it. I watched a video on how to replace a headlight on my truck and it looks like its a pain to do that. plus i have a grill guard on my truck so its probably going to be harder with that on there huh?
I just bought an 09 red silverado and here in new York were only allowed blue and clear lights anything other than that and it's grounds for impersonating a police officer. I got some videos of my old GMC Envoy with my blue light set up.
@FFMEDIC31: In my truck I took a Galls Wig-Wag and removed the switch and added a dual pole relay. Honestly, you are better off just speinding a little extra money and getting a Whelen Headlight flasher. @MrDyson01 i have never heard of this anywhere, you might want to check your state and local laws, here it is legal. If it is not legal at night then why when a officer runs code they have them on, pay attention to your surroundings and you will notice this.

officerT189: I custom made a mound out of sheet metal. It's about 4"x6" bent long ways at about a 30 degree angle. Then drilled holes to use the existing mounting holes to mount it to the bracket. Then removed the factory plastic piece that hides the mirror wire, slid the mount under the headliner and butted the mirror on the bottom. Also had to cut a 1.5" slot out of the glare deflector on the dual avenger in order to fit around the mirror mount. Good luck and if you need more info let me know.
you should definitely put the other led dual in ur front windshield...sometimes, especially in a truck during the day, having the light at the top of your windshield is too high for a car to see...try it and see if it works any better
I like this setup very much! I think the message is delivered more effectively with fewer lights than with a rolling "Christmas tree." I would have used red/amber in the back window instead of red/white. However, I think this is an excellent install!

@FFMEDIC31 wig wags are illegal at night due to high beams

@bradvb23 I put the front vertex in the inner side of the upper turn signal. The rear vertexes are on the inner side as well.

where did you place the vertex's in the rfletor housing?

how did you manage to mount the dual avenger above your rear view mirror without obstructing it?
