  • Great Playing and a very usefull review. Thanks. This might be just what I'm looking for.

  • @crorivpro Cool :-) Try it out if you get the chance. Take care :-)

  • I have read some reviews on the Delta Blues amp where this 15in Blue Marvel has a special tone that the Classic 30 will not get you. They say you can even use it on an acoustic guitar. You must not have the volume up much as close as this Bad Boy is to your Left ear. LOL

Does it take pedals very well?

  • @hawg427 I feel it takes pedals good. the 15 does not break up like the 12 in the C30

  • If I had it on the drive channel with very little gain and the volume at 1 or 2 , playing humbuckers is it sweet "OR" do I have to crank the volume ? Great music as always Willy !

  • @hutchfromba I feel that it does sound real good with humbuckers at those low volumes. Thanks :-)

  • Willy, great demo (as usual). Which do you prefer; Delta Blues or Classic 30? Best, Jonas

  • @JonasSweden1 it is really a hard call. hhhmm...they both have their good points.DB has tremolo, but is bigger, heavier,I feel less speaker break up.C30 smaller, more portable, speaker seems to breakup earlier, no tremolo.I guess I would pick Classic 30. Thanks friend :-)

  • Hello Willy !

is there a difference bitween ECC83s and ECC83 or can I change one for the other ?

Thx for your great Bluesy Songs !

  • You wouldn't be selling that Peavey Delta 115 , would you ? It would be great if I could get a really good condition used one . Thanks again , for all your great video's ! Jerry - aka - HUTCHfromBA .

  • @hutchfromba I do not have that amp anymore. Sorry about that. I kinda go through them and only keep certain ones. Thanks friend :-)

  • @willyboogerblues Could you tell me the Humbuckers Guitar Amps you really like and will always keep .

  • @hutchfromba I have a Fender Blues Jr. NOS that I like.I would like a Fender Super Sonic 22 or 60.For when I use my Ibanez with Humbuckers, I use my Line 6 Floor Pod Plus into a PA powered speaker rated at 550 watts. It is my Metal setup. Thanks friend :-)

  • I know that you are a fender fan but have you ever played the delta 115 with humbuckers . I own a Epi LP standard with gibson 490 t & 490 r . Jimmy Page wiring . I do play mostly BLUES . Or try too . I'm real interested in having a good to great amp for Blues that sounds a little different than everybody else . I'm just afraid that the buckers will get muddy at the low end especially . Thanks !

  • @hutchfromba I feel that this amp does well with humbuckers, I have used humbuckers with this amp. Thanks friend :-)

  • I'm going to have to buy a Blues Jr instead of this because this will kill my back to bring to gigs. This sounds really cool though and I'll probably pick it up in a few years. Seems like it goes with the Fender tonality very much and I don't own a Fender and I'm not a real blues guy as... Well, I'm 16. What can I tell ya? I love the raw sound of blues amps!

  • @Nickpatient Yes, the Blues Jr. is a cool amp to, there is something very cool about Blues sounds :-) Take care :-)

  • Nice G&L Legacy HB, i didn't try to play Windy and Warm with mine :) but why not !

    Nice amp, cool demo

  • @Noun0TheReturn haha, thanks friend, Take care :-)

  • WAY to go Wooly! Told you that 15 incher would raise the hair on the back of

your neck! Makes your axe sound awsome. I'm still hooked on my new Fender

65 Twin Custom 15. I put the old Lonestar through it and it just sings.

  • @Echoplex1 Very cool, glad you got it! I need to get me another amp...haha I have been through a lot of them though. Take care friend :-)

  • Righteous playing man. I'm really interested in this amplifier, and I was wondering does it have an external speaker output?

  • @TenYearsGone10 it has an external speaker output. Thanks friend :-)

  • I'm thinking of buying one off eBay for $290 (plus $40 shiping). The only problem I have with that is I have to take the seller's word and pictures that it's in good shape. If it is in good condition, $340 total is half the cost of a new one... Any thoughts?

  • @dreekd80 the age is important. The newer models fixed some problems with tube rattling. The newer ones have a Tube Guard, Tube tape and tube retainers on them to fix the rattling noise at even low noise that could be heard before. It still might be a good deal. I am one, who if all possible, to get new and with all upgrades. I am touchy like that ...haha good luck friend :-)

  • @willyboogerblues thanks for the info. The seller says it includes Tom's tube tamer, which I guess keeps the tubes from rattling. I'm not sure of the exact age.

  • @dreekd80 Sounds like an older one, maybe after market kit. Still may be good deal.

  • @willyboogerblues just one more Q if ya dont mind: It sounds like you can play at relatively low volumes and still get a good sound? I mostly play low, at home, but want to be able to crank it if I'm jamming with others. Does it have an OD channel that you can get a good dirty sound with at lower volumes?

    Thanks!

  • @dreekd80 yes, in my demo here I am at a nice room volume. It has a Clean channel and a distortion channel and sounds good at low and loud volumes. Thanks friend :-)

  • Dude you're hell of a player and thanx for the review. So many ppl say shit about' peavey amps...but when I got myself this amp....I have been a happy camper. I love this amp. I used this amp in live/studio both situations...and I loved the tone that I have got. I'm proud of being a owner of Delta Blues!! keep rockin' \m/

  • @mhasan666 yes, there is sure a lot of opinions out there on gear. I just follow my path. What does not work for others still might work for me. Thanks and take care :-)

  • @mhasan666 I've noticed that too: a lot of smack talkin about peavey (probably cuz they're mostly associated by people with heavy metal), and I admit I used to do it as well. It's a form of snobbery and I'm over it. If it sounds like that, it's a good amp and that's that!

  • Badass bro - I dig that Billy Gibbons kinda gritty blues - nice!

  • @xr650r01 haha, cool friend, Thanks :-)

  • YES!!! Jesus and a few of us are on the same path. Righteous Jesus!

  • @stonodo hahahaha....you said repressed. It is true, it is about music and gear. I like to put "Playing For Jesus Christ" on my videos. That is all, no big deal. Thanks :-)

  • Go Jesus!

  • Good and COOL review you sure nailed a great sound, maybe I should get this instead of the Fender Blues junior ;)

  • @coupe662 Both are very good amps, but are very different in features, sound, size and power :-)

  • "Playing for Jesus...?" I'm not entirely convinced that a 2000 year old rabbi from the near east whose only contact with music would have been the local cantor intoning his dirges .would understand what the electric blues is about... but then what the fuck do I know. I'm not religious god knows but I find it hard to picture Jesus in frock and sandal doing the bop.

  • @zthetha I believe in Jesus Christ, I give him credit for any talent that I have. It is my free choice.

  • @willyboogerblues Of course it is. I was brought up by strict pentecostalists so have experienced what belief in Jesus is like up close. While I'm not saying this applies to you, most of christians I met were in need of psychiatric help, or had furtive homosexual and/or pedophilic urges or were just plain superstitious and incapable of rigorous thought. Against that, some were very good people Christianity is the old 'Son' religion , Mithraism, etc, an astrological metaphor in human dress.

  • @zthetha yes, there is a lot of corruption out there and confused individuals.

  • You got some serious skills! Great amp, too! :-)

  • @margovallen Thanks Margo :-) very nice for you to say, Take care :-)

  • Just got one was sceptical went into the music store the fellow has a bit of gain and post and he was shaking the building etc. I play all styles and this amp will do it, it's richer with a 15" speaker....

  • @bmelnyk07 Congrats friend, Glad you got it! Take care :-)

  • Great playing ,I really like the way you smoke up them licks!!, great job.

  • @mgaskill182 Much thanks friend :-)

  • Ill take EL84's over 6L6's any day.

  • @Phishboy26 el84's are cool thats for sure. I have used different amps using a THDYJ to convert 6l6's to el84's with really great results! for overall sound and breakup to me,el84's may possibly sound better than any tube for my taste. That being said, some of the best sounding amps I played through were not using el84's. Just an observance from my view. Thanks friend :-)

  • @willyboogerblues I went with the loudness of 6l6's for a while and it got to the point where i just wanted a great overall sound which is what i love so much about EL84's 6l6s are loud but have way 2 much low end and a harsh breakup at times which i dont like that much. Sound over loudness is why i have chosen to stick with EL84's

  • @Phishboy26 Great Choice friend, I like them to. What do you think about 6v6 tubes? Keep on rocking :-)

  • @willyboogerblues I have never tried 6V6's The only 2 Tube amps i have ever had is a Bugera V55 and a Pevey Delta Blues and i love them both combined

  • @Phishboy26 Those are cool amps, I would like to try the Fender Super Sonic 22, to see if I like it. It has the 6v6's in it. Take care :-)

  • @willyboogerblues From what i have heard the Super Sonic 22 is amazing sounding. My thing is i play both Single Coil and Humbuckers and i think the Super Sonic has enough Overdrive to satisfy anyone that plays a Strat for sure.I could see myself using the Vintage Channel alone without the use of OD or Distortion Pedals and The Burn channel and some Seymour Duncan Humbuckers would be a match made in heaven.

  • @Phishboy26 Bummer part is that I can never find one around to test it out. When I get the dough I will order one. If I do not like it I will send it back.

  • @willyboogerblues Being left handed i have that issue with Guitars. All of my guitars except my Fender Strat i got off of Ebay because no store had them in a left handed model. I knew upfront a Strat was going to be one of my guitars and it was the first Guitar i purchased.

  • @Phishboy26 Ya, I am as well a strat man...haha

  • You have really a great feeling, I love you're strat's sound!

  • @aurelien90B Much Thanks Friend, I am fortunate to have what I have. It Feels right to me :-)

  • What was it you were playing around 7:20?

  • @MrJuaco28 Stuff I make up, thanks for your interest friend :-)

  • I can't decide between this or the Fender blues deluxe?

  • @PF1964 Hard choice haha, try them out if you can, they do sound very different :-) Thanks

  • williebooger can play!

  • thank you

  • Dude, you are actually THE MAN! I love you, keep doing what you do!!

  • @TheSepticrat HAHA....Thanks friend, I will keep on :-)

  • This is my favorite amp review.

  • @laser74hobby Very Cool friend, Thank you :-)

  • I want one of these amps, they sound great!

  • @laser74hobby they are very cool :-) Thanks!

  • GREAT AMP AND PLAYING!!!

  • @laser74hobby Much thanks to you friend, God Bless :-)

  • nice G & L

  • @airsofter691 Thanks friend!

  • @willyboogerblues your very welcome I have one myself and Iam looking for a good blues amp. Is this one worth it???

  • @airsofter691 This is a very good amp, it is priced well but the bottom line is to try it out to see if it would be for you. Thanks :-)

  • hey Willy what's up ??? It's Gabriel from Raleigh NC , have you heard anything from America's Got Talent about your Atlanta audition ??

  • hey will this is Gabriel from Raleigh NC Hope all is well with you. Just wanted to say hello and want to know if you have heard anything from America's Got Talent about results from the Atlanta auditions

  • HOLY CRAP, you look like a totally different person without your beard...i just came from watching your demo of the Peavey Classic 30 and i actually didnt think it was you for the first few seconds

  • @TrippyTheShroom lol....I am a master of disguise. I feel naked without something on my face...lol

  • @willyboogerblues LOL, im not gonna lie, i watched The Master of Disguise yesterday on Stars

  • always played vintage fenders ,,over thirty years till I got a DB 15,,

SouthSide Lenny now plays this peavey..

its the best delta blues amp,,,

  • @KINGSLIDEGUITAR Thanks friend :-)

  • First of all , Thanks for a real good demo ! Great job with a lot of sounds . Can you tell me what kind of controls are on it and if I keep the master vol very low , will it be playable in a attached house ? Thxs again ! Blues On Man .........

  • @hutchfromba The controls are pretty standard Pre POST,treb, mid, low, reverb, tremolo (speed, intensity) level (volume) FX loop, input, footswitch. In this video I was playing at a low room volume. There is no line out for PA but you can mic out to one or FX loop out. You get clean sounds and distorted sounds at low or loud volumes. Thanks friend I hope this helped

  • Thanks for a honest review, I think you made me decide... :-)

  • @nomissimon25 Glad to help friend, try before you buy :o)

  • whats the difference between delta blues and classic?

  • @jingwah Delta has 15inch speaker or two 10's as well a tremolo. Classic 30 has one 12in speaker no tremolo and is over all smaller in box size. Thanks friend, hope I helped :o)

  • Thanks for your video. I've a Blues Junior but I would an amp less bright, more hot. I would know if we can use it without powerbreak at home? It's a 30W and I don't know if we must realy play with a hight volume to have a good sound or if we can play with a normal home volume and have a great sound. I want a very good clean and crunch sound. I prefer if there's a good overdrive but isn't my priority.

  • @aurelien90B Hi, in this video, the amp was at a low room volume :-)

  • @aurelien90B Peavey Classic 50 is the best amp peavey makes in my opinon

  • Comment removed

  • is your bridge pickup broken?

  • @Wiggzzzz yes

  • Very nice!

  • Praise the LORD!

  • Hi Willy!

Question: What is the song on 4:30?

    great video and performance!

  • @pylorca "Mr. Sandman" Chet Atkins played this on his guitar, way better than I :o) Thanks friend!

  • Homey!!! Great choppin, .. I don.t usually comment on these things, but really enjoyed this one. Very sage advice about giving our gear a chance before "manipulating" . Chet is probably smilin right now... Your talent is truly a gift... Brother Skip

  • Thanks Brother Skip, your comment is much appreciated :o) I play for Jesus Christ

  • Hey buddy you still have your d.b 115, I finally got mine it's a 210 though. I love it and your vid is what inspired my research and purchase

  • @glassbottleblues Great! Glad you got it. I am happy to help. I do not have mine no more, I had to sell a couple of amps.Hard times right now....lol

  • @willyboogerblues That blows, well I hope things take a turn for the better for you. If i remember correctly don't you have a Fender amp to play as well?

  • @glassbottleblues Right now I have one amp,Fender Blues Jr. I did have a few tube amps. Things change, Thanks Friend!

  • great sound just picked up one today used can you tell me what settings your at at 5:47. also i realized it has the speaker wire spliced and into and a cord connector with the wires 1/4" going into each side of the connector and someone marked amp on one side of the cord and amp on the other side? it seems to work and sound fine so far.

  • I am sorry I do not remember the settings :-)

  • I bought a brand new 2007 model last year at a mom & pop outfit in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The Peavey owner's manual has a typo: there are four 6BQ5/EL84's (mine came with JJs) and *THREE 12AX7's (JJ EC83's) -- but manual says _TWO_ 12AX7s.

    *THREE is correct!!!

I like the 15" Blue Marvel and, until it blows, will not replace it. If and when the BM blows, I will decide then on a stock replacement or swap a new 15" of a different name (e.g., Eminence Red Coat 15" Big Ben, etc.) I have yet t

  • Great vid my friend! Excellent playing as well.

Your points are very accurate. These amps are dead on great amps without a bunch of 'mods'.

  • Very nice Willy can I assume all those sounds are from the amp without pedals?

  • from guitar into amp, THanks!

  • great video - i do have one question though.... how can i utilize the effects loop ??? i am going to get the a footswitch channel selector and ALSO have a compressor, wah, digital delay, and a ts9.

What should i run through the fx send and what should i run through the fx return ???

    thanks a lot !

    great video !

  • I do not use the FX Loop. it is made to send your signal out to whatever you want to use (compressors,EQ,reverbs, processors, pedals...whatever then back into the amp."IF" I use any pedals I like the result of it in front of the guitar input. Thanks!

  • Hey Willy..Back here again....the sounds you got with the strat...how loud was the volume, gain etc...and can that be got with the volume lower...I tried a fender delux something and couldnt get the volume passed 1 as it was just too loud..it was 40 watts...how is this at bedroom levels...thanks man ;)

  • This video was at a low bedroom volume, I think it has an audio taper volume pot. I have never had a problem with volume, low or loud.it seems smooth to me.Some Fenders do not use this volume pot, there are the new Hot Rod 3 line are supposed to have them in it. Thanks, hope I helped!

  • I'm only up to 1:07 on the timestamp...but dude, you (so-fart) aren't playing like delta blues...play like Robert Johnson (lol so, slide, preferably using a liquor bottle as a slide...hahaha)

  • lol...I guess I do need to. Maybe you can put out a demo showing this, I am not very good at slide guitar.Send it to me if you make one. Thanks! :-)

  • Hey Willy,..sound exellent...hey would you say this gives more treble that the peavey classic 30....I thought the classic had a little more drier sound (dryer) how do you spell that,,anyway Ide appreciate it ..great playing as always :)

  • Thats a good question!I find I did not need to max out the treble on either amp.I cannot really answer your question accurately. They are really both cool amps though.I like them both. Thanks friend, sorry I can't answer your question completely.

  • @willyboogerblues Thats ok willy, I am trying to get the right amp and having pains searching and hearing different ones :) I like Jack whites tone and I know he uses some fenders but also the peavey sounds like a fender too but just not the highs..or maybe it was the cheap telecaster the guy gave me in the store to try it out...must get back there,,,have a nice day and thanks,,,

  • The new Fender Super Sonic 22 looks interesting.

  • @willyboogerblues Thanks, Ive been looking into this one all night now :) and it does seem very nice...there were some people complaining about something to do with this amp not beinbg worth the money and some other things...but Im yet to find out....let me know what you hear too please....ciao .:)

  • @willyboogerblues Hey willy..in my search ..I've come across this little demon...it seems to sound amazing and in the same price range as the classic 30 etc....have a look when you have time and please if you know something about these I'de be interested in your opinion :) here it is.... Laney LC30-112

  • u using a pedal ?

  • nope, THanks

  • great, that was helpfull, thanks for the reply keep on rockin!

  • nice playing. can i ask you does this amp go from really quiet to crazy loud because i am a bedroom player and only play the occasional gig, but i really like the sound of these, but if its too loud i could have trouble with flat mates. what do you think? cheers

  • I am playing this amp in a bedroom volume in this video, I recorded with it and played live. which seemed to really have the juice when I needed it. To me it was a good all around amp. if you are really wanting pre and power tube all out natural saturation at a low volume I would buy a 1 to 5 watt tube amp and crank it wide open. Attenuators are an option to.I went the attenuator route and was not really satisfied. If you know this is the amp you really want, I would go for it :-) Thanks!

  • @willyboogerblues Wish I could play that fingerpicking stuff you play. I just feel drawn to it, but don't know where to start with learning it. Are you using a thumb pick or is that just finger nails? Also, how long do you grow your nails?

  • I like that old style pickin to. Sometimes I use a thumb pick, in his video I did not. I keep my nails short. I think the idea is to play the bass, rhythm and lead all at the same time. I am not a pro at it but I get by. Good luck with it! Thanks Friend!

    Willybooger

  • @willyboogerblues Thanks for replying. Yea, I can't grow my nails too long, they break and then my guitar playing is equivalent to the feeling of walking around with one shoe on!!!

  • what the name of the song at 4:00?

  • Warm and Windy (Chet Atkins)

  • Great player!!!!

  • Thanks Friend!

  • I just got this amp, thanks for showing me this video, got new idea's on how to use it. It also sounds awesome with my slide! I love my new amp! keep it rockin,

    greetz Sid

  • It is a really cool amp, glad you have it.

  • I keep returning to this video, hehe. Any idea how this amp would react to Burns trisonic pickups?

  • I am not sure. Maybe it would be worth checking out :-)

  • A greattttttttttttt review! Not too much talking, and a lot of beautiful playing by a very talented guitarist! Well done =) Even though I'm more of a Gibson-guy, that doesn't matter xD And the amp is fantastic as well, I bought one a few days ago, and I'm truly blown away by its sound.

  • Coolness, Thanks!

  • what a fantastic blues player u got the mojo bag i love the amp too....

  • Thanks friend!

  • Good demo.

  • Holy crap dude you are definitely one of youtube's best blues men!

  • @86shay86 Thanks, Cool for you to say this!

  • amazing

  • @prethscie thanks friend

  • amazin. u made any albums?

  • Thanks! I have not made any yet.

  • sound like fender blues Jr.

  • Sometimes it is hard to really hear the full sound through these videos. The peavey sounds different to my ears. Thanks!

  • @jearasak Believe me, the Delta BLues does not sound like a Fender BLues Jr. not even CLOSE ! the PEAVEY is 6E+15 better !

  • Cool! I am glad you have found the amp that works for you. Thanks!

  • Comment removed

  • Great Review. I always dig your videos. The best part is how much fun you have when you play. Smiling at the guitar etc. Great stuff.

  • Thanks Friend! I do really enjoy it and as well hope others do to.

  • smokin' review, thanks. I'm trying to decide between this and the Delta Blues 210, which has two 10" speakers, where you've got the one 15" speaker. The 15" might give more bottom, what do you think? Thanks for the vid.

  • There is nothing really like playing them both to see for yourself. If you like speaker breakup you may find this in the two 10's to be more pleasing. The 15inch is a pretty clean speaker. Its hard for me to really say overall, I have not played on Blue Marvel 10inc. speakers. Thanks!

  • I was over a buddy's house and he had a black widow in one of these that he pulled from a dead solid state bass amp (TKO-115 maybe?) and it really sounded amazing. It was so wide open and airy, and the crunch tones were unreal. I liked it so much, I built a 1x15 cabinet for my classic 30 and loaded it with a 15" scorpion (also a bass driver, but brighter) and now I can actually use the C30 for recording rhythm guitar crunch!

  • Cool!

  • Hey willy what kind of speaker upgrade can I put in my delta blues amp.It had problems from the drive channel bleeding off into the clean channel.I had to turn down the drive channel when I wanted to use clean. The music shop change transistors or what ever they are called,3 of them.Very mid happy amp now sounds much better but want to smooth out the amp.The blue marvel was great till the mod to the amp. Will the blue marvel smooth out over time.

  • Do you have the 15in or two 10in speakers?Either way you want to go, there are a varity of choices. If you are all about clean then your intrest would be not to get a lower wattage early break up speaker. Check out Celestion speaker website and eminence, webber speakers. Their sites should have speaker descriptions to give you an Idea of the direction you want. Thanks!

  • Thanks for the reply.. Keep shredding those frets man!!

  • Great demo.....Now you got me Gassin for one. I've got a Epiphone Blues Custom 30, nice amp, but I think this is better. HMMM! maybe sell it and get one of these. What is your opinion of the EPI BC 30? Thanks.

    Cheers,

    Michael

  • I have played lots of amps but I just never have gotten the chance to play the Blues Custom 30,which I have been wanting to for a while.Sorry.I like a few different specific amps for my style playing but I like to explore others to.Thanks friend!

  • great blues

  • Nice review & playing buddy - thanx for sharing

  • Thanks Brother! I tr
