What a perfect couple! I love her singing and so happy that they re-released "Song of Joy" on CD. I just got it in the mail, from Amazon. This song is one of their best. Should have gotten radio play!
AH this is GREAT! Does anyone remember Toni's talk show she had? I haven't seen it since I was a kid but remember bits and pieces. I just remember during the opening theme song Jane Fonda saying "you're a REALLY good interviewer" - Toni has had quite the career.
Sometimes it´s almost too much with Toni. Singing great, playing the piano, writing songs, looking like a bomb shell and still grounded. What a woman!
I have to say with profound sadness that the captain, Daryl Dragon has passed away. He passed on February 14th, Valentines day from a deadly rattlesnake bite while hiking in Tombstone, Arizona. He is survived by his wife Toni, a piano and a couple pets. The family requests you send donations to Rattlesnake Awareness and Obama 2008 in lieu of flowers. Daryl will be greatly missed.
This is one of my absolute favorite C&T songs! An African American woman I know who's a professional jazz singer once said of Toni, "That woman has soul up her butt!" Well, she's right! Toni, you ROCK!!! (And oh how you boogie!)
I'm sorry about the klidesdale remark. You could just disregard my above comment. I know now you didn't mean anything bad by broad. I know I wouldn't like it if someone called me a broad.
Toni is truly a versatile singer and performer. Check out her performance with the Captain on "Never Make A Move Too Soon" in the SOUL TRAIN collection.
I love Toni and this great band. Make sure you check out Rusty Higgins and his great tenor saxophone work. Rusty remains one of LA's great recording artists. Also, check out Toni's great standards CDs with charts by Sammy Nestico. Hardy har, har, har.

Of course I remember it. I was a senior in high school, and still rushed home to see it every afternoon. She's the best!

Don't remember Toni's talk show. Not sure I remember this song but it's great. Check out the early 80's keyboards.

Very good song. Written by the late great Jerry Reed in 1975. Coming from Jerry it has to be good. Great arrangement by Dragon.

Toni is not a broad. Where do you get off saying such things? How would you like it if someone called you a klidesdale?
