Judging by the trailer, this looks exceedingly mediocre. Just like every other movie in its genre—but I'm willing to give Carpenter the benefit of the doubt. He, after all, did direct "The Thing."

Finally got to see this Saturday night, and it was terrific. A return to form for Carpenter. If you get your thrills from gorecrapfests like "Saw" or "Hostel," you'll be disappointed, because this is an old fashion ghost story that relies on actual suspense and eerie atmosphere to deliver its goosebumps scares. It's a movie that cares about its characters and telling a spooky story. So basically, if you like GOOD horror movies, check this out.
