As an outside observer and with out meaning to cause offence, can I ask; why after fighting so long and hard for its freedom did Ireland immediately join the European Union, to be governed from Brussels by people no Irish person voted for? Is it not strange how after leaving Briton and joining the EU Irelands economy crumbled to the point where they had to be loaned money by the European countries? (Most of the money came from Briton because Britons fate is entwined with Irelands.)
