@MeTheDragonfly a fancy rat is not a breed it is just another name for domestic rat. A husky rat is a breed.

@ShardStrypefox Rats are very prone to mammary tumors, unfortunately. The biggest problem I have with pet rats is they don't live long enough!

I have a question, Your rat seems so loving, and likes to be petted and touched, and I am planning on trying to get a pet rat (husky rat as well) Sometime in the future here, since my friend has had some and they seem lovely to have as pets like ive seen. So what im asking is how did you raise her, I dont know how to handle and care for rats in the way that they will grow up unafraid and like to be handled. Thanks if you reply =)

My experience is that the more you handle them, pet them and give them kisses as babies, the more affectionate they will be. Just smother them with love and attention and they will return it right back :-).

Where do you get huskies. I've seen this one breeder who sells her rats but has a million different rules on owning it. More like a rent to own. I want one so bad. I've got a female that would be a great breeder!
