my mare just recently had a foal and its her 3rd foal and its our first. you are lucky to have the foal in memory of her but at least you have the foal then to have neither of them. it is sad to see orphan foals but we make up for thier needs and take over the mum role. good luck and take care
we think she might have hemoraged after the birth or during, cause there was alot of blood, more then usual. It happened through the night so by the time we got up she was already dead. that is soooo sad! i had 2 horses but i had to get rid of them coz they costed too much! but it couldnt have been as hard as it was for u! :(
