  • @911sspk Thanks!

  • @MagicMaximo: Hi, I'm Vietnamese. your pronunciation is kind of good.

I can help you if you like. I speak south Vietnamese.

  • First time you said 'em yeu anh' its sounds like you're singing :)

    At 0:56

  • @drittungeperson wow, I'm getting so many comments about my bad pronunciation, I feel like just deleting whole whole damn video.

  • @MagicMaximo sry, i didnt mean its bad. Don't delete, i think you're good!

  • Comment removed

  • I know you make bad pronounciation on this vid but you still make sense on the words

  • @visatorno Thanks!

  • Not bad. :D

  • lol u made me laugh with ur pronounciation but its k u speak good viet for a non native speaker. Also try to figure out what i am say "Ten cua em la Julia. Em la 19 tuoi. Em muon hoi anh, anh co can giup vi cai vi khong? neu ma anh co can giup hoi em ok?

  • @SxcFlyJulia I think you mean: "My name's Julia. I'm 19. Just ask me whenever you need my help, ok?". So, it should be: "Tên em là Julia. Em 19 tuổi. Nếu anh có việc gì cần em giúp thì cứ hỏi em, ok?".

  • @SxcFlyJulia Cam on em. Toi rat vui ve em co the giup do toi. :=)

  • Thanks for the help! Wish I could contact you to learn more.

  • hahhaha...funny! good effort..

  • So nice to find people who shares his knowlegde with others. My native language is spanish and I wanna learn many languages.

I have also some VN friends in VN and I also like very much VN people. I have 2 questions. First, how many languages can you speak? and second one: How long time did you spent learning VN?

thanks for this videos. I'm impressed with your high ability learning languages.

  • Hola Sabastiano. I feel comfortable speaking English, Spanish, Tagalog and Vietnamese. I can carry on a simple conversation in several others. I've been studying languages since I was 17 (hint: I'm 60 now) A proposito, como es que hablas espanol. Naciste aqui?(EEUU)

  • Hola Maximo. No, yo nací y vivo en Colombia. Es por eso que hablo español. Aprendí Ingles cuando estaba en el colegio y también he aprendido Italiano y portugues. También me gustan mucho las lenguas orientales, aunque realmente son dificiles. Felicitaciones por su Vietnamita!

  • Fantastico! Gracias, mi amigo Columbiano!

  • the pronunciacion of vietnamese is really hard for foreigner =)

  • Sentences like "em yêu anh không", "em yêu anh", "anh yêu em" can be spoken with VERY strict "bằng" tone. But your pronunciation is very nice!

  • yeah, I've gotten A LOT of comments about my mispronunciation of that little word. I even made a "correction video" (see video response) Thanks for your comments.

  • When you say "yêu," it kind of sounds like "yều." I don't think anyone will misunderstand, though. It's easy to understand what you're trying to say; it's just really obvious that you're not from VN. I'm trying to become really fluent in Vietnamese, too (I can't let those vendors know I'm a "foreigner").

  • Lol, I feel you on that last sentence. They charge you double if you're foreign.

  • u did a great job, merci!

  • de rien!

  • not bad at all , Em co' yeu anh khong^? ...

  • you are doing well, I looked away and understood what you said. Well done, I enjoy your videos.

  • well done hope to see more on romance of vietnemase

  • i can help you learn Vietnamese better

  • You forgot «anh yêu anh» and «em yêu em».

  • you doing good, but try little harder almost correct.

  • Thanks, I'm trying hard. Toi biet rang phat am qua toi khong tot.

  • your pronounciation is ok but your tone for those words is what throws it off. Try saying "Anh yêu em" but with the same mid level tone for all of the three words.

  • Thanks for your constructive comments. I'll follow your advice.

  • Haha..I've been learning vietnamese for 2 days now but I can tell your pronunciation is off. It's probably because I have parents that speak Vietnamese. Good try though. ;P

  • It's hilarious watching you say it. Thanks for the videos! =]

  • Thank you very much for posting this video on YouTube! My girlfriend is Vietnamese, and I am trying to learn some phrases and sayings to impress her parents. I find your videos very helpful!

  • haha. As a Vietnamese woman, hearing my language come out of your mouth is very amusing, but also very charming. Your pronunciation of " anh yeu em" is still slightly off. yeu should sound more like "Ew" as though you're put off by something.. hopefully not your girlfriend! lol. Try that out. Good luck!

  • Hi BUD, i personally find your video very helpful to me because i just got to know this vietnamese girl who is now my girlfriend and i've fallen madly in love with her and vice versa. your video made us closer to each other and so now, she understand that i love her and i understand that she love me too. Vietnamese, they're very good girlfriends and wives. Thanks again BUD, appreciate it.

  • wow, That's great! Thanks for your comments.

  • ur pronuciaion isnt badd.

i mean when u were translating i love you.

well the first time u said it, it was pretty gd.

same goes for the woman to man translation.

but u should say the words a little bit closer together if u know wut i mean.

it was kinda of choppy, no offense.

but ur not a native to the language so it's understandable.

kinda make the words slurred together, the pronunciation might sound better. =)

oh its a gd thing ur doing this kind of stuff, so other ppl can learn.

  • Thank you for your comments.

  • Wow how did you get into learning Vietnamese.

  • The US Navy sent me to a language school to learn Vietnamese, then sent me there to help interpret for the Vietnamese and Americans.

  • When you say no, put co after khong because it sounds better. Like Anh khong co yeu em.

  • Thanks for your help! That's the way I learn better ways to say things.

  • very cool thank's

  • Lol, to the question: Do you love me? How do you say NO, j/k. Great video!!

  • khong, anh khong yeu em.( I don't love you...but can we still be friends? ;=)

  • ^^ Lol, thanks ;D Even though it's just something I'm going to tell a friend jokingly.

  • Can you please give a literal word-by-word translation of that?
