I can only begin to imagine the horror suffered by these people. I don't think any of us fully understand the "magnitude" of an earthquake until we find ourselves at 20, invinsible, and then standing in a parking lot in beautiful, clear weather as the ground under your feet starts to pitch and roll. It's a humbling experience, one that still brings fear to my heart some seventeen years later. Can't see it coming. There is nowhere to run to escape it. There's nothing to run "from." This is awful.
