  • Great! Does anyone know if and where the sheet music of this piece is available?

  • sehr sehr schön, eines meiner lieblingslieder

    lg taurebe85

  • jajaja where is the sound jajaja????

  • @maestromusico That would be a question for the Joy of Music copy house, as this is the way the video arrived.

  • her registration is amazing, her arrangement is also very good

  • She has so much fun with this song, at 3:10 - 15 she is giddy with excitement. I just love this song when it builds up in the middle.

  • That was just amazing, and I would love to play this in church as the last song!

  • This lady prepared to wear almost anything, and usually does. A remarkable organist though.

  • This will be my postlude this Christmas!

  • Does that nameplate at 1:05 say A. Cavaille-Coll?

  • It looked like Cavaille-Coll's famous nameplate. So, I guess you are correct.

  • I forgot I even commented on this video! I have done a little searching, and found out that Cavaille-Coll did indeed build this organ, and that it is still in original condition. It even has one of the famous Cavaille-Coll 32' Contre Bombardes.

  • Yup! Napoleon gave Cavaille-Coll the commission to restore/rebuild and improve all of the cathedral organs in France. It is known that whoever won the contract to rebuild the organ at St. Denis in Paris would have been awarded that contract. Rossini was conducting Meyerbeer's opera La Prophete, and was impressed by Cavaille-Colls work. Thus, he recommended that C-C be permitted to submit a proposal for St. Denis. SO, he did...won the contract...and the rest is history! YAY!

  • @DesireeDeFete The Cavaille-Coll is another one of my favorite brand of organs. I am glad that there are many organists that are wiling to show off these grand monuments of organ music history! It's like stepping back in time to the days when the great classical music composers lived!

  • @DesireeDeFete Napoleon III you mean? The 'real' Napoleon died when CC was only ten years old...

  • It's the CC in Orleans cathedral!

  • Breath-taking.... absolutly phenomenal..... =]

  • I assume that is keyboard dubbing that I see where the keys on the manuals move by themselves. But overall, I love seeing and hearing these vintage organs.

  • That's the coupling action of the mechanical key action. You don't see this on electric and pneumatic action organs.

  • When was the mechanical key action action discontinued? I know that Cavaille-Coll also had that type of coupling action as well.

  • You can still get an organ with mechanical (tracker) action from some companies. Some organists prefer them.

  • then again it's heavy on some older organs. where your playing full organ

  • I wish she would make some more hymn arrangement books! Amazing!

  • Merry Christmas form Spain to all!! Feliz Navidad para todos, amigos!!
