Everyone seems to make a big deal about how a fiesta beat a V8 supercar (whether its a proper/official V8 supercar idk), and dissing the V8's as well. Guys remember, this is KEN BLOCK's fiesta. It isnt something from WRC.

Am I the only one who watches the V8 jump the gun then sit there and watch what appears to be Block doing the exact same in the rematch? I love his fiesta and its a sick car but I'd take the V8 any day. Well I'd take both and be thrilled to have both, but I prefer the sound of a sexy V8.

@Motorguy4life v8 supercar = 630rwhp - 1350kg - 2.07 kg per hp. blocks fiesta = 650hp - 1102kg - 1.69kg per hp. bullshit!!! doesnt work as the v8 hauls it in once up to speed. 650hp is most likely flywheel power, average awd drivetrain power losses are 17 - 25%, lets use 20%.

650 - 20% awd drivetrain losses =520awhp.

520awhp - 1102kg = 2.11kg per hp.

v8 supercar power to weight 2.07kg per hp

fiesta power to weight 2.11kg per hp.

this simple maths estimate proves the fiesta can not have 650awhp.

@trevorwinton No what that means is the fiesta has extremely short gears, thats why it it beats the v8 at the beginning the fiesta is a rocket at the start but once it gets over 100 its already in 5th probably then the long geared v8 catches it

@trevorwinton I read an article that had blocks fiesta on the dyno and measured very low 600's atw...even that is fucking amazing for such a small engine...cant remember how much it weighed though, wouldnt be much at all...itd be close to the 1t mark. given its short gearing, im surprised it didnt do better to be honest.

@trevorwinton For WRC they are limited to 300 HP or so, but the torque limit is non existent. His Gymkhana car has 650 hp so he can just spin tires by touching the gas. And they even keep that limited.
