  • i have a hd 5670 and i will never buy a nvidia ...why ? ..well not because it sux just i didnt like them ... and if you are a nvidia fan boy or a ati fanboy ..BUY A CONSOLE xD xD xD

  • i guess all of you noticed that this is not the gt300 series. Its the GTX400

  • @Srinathor

Actually is not the Geforce line up series number ,but a GPU Chip Codename

At 2009 ,all Geforce 200 are under Codenamed GT200 and Nvidia will name their next GPU chip 'Fermi' under GT300

well ,at 2010 ,they change the codename the 'Fermi' to GF100 instead GT300

  • THAT GPY HAS A MIND OF ITS OWN!!!

    dude amazing gpu!

  • @FuntossisBACK fuck i fail lol... GPU*

  • is it good 4 gaming?

  • nvidia epic fail lol, wait next revision gpu !

  • @xXLawlietStrifeXx what? you seem to think that Nvidia is behind ATI, why does ATI reverse engineer Nvidia card for their own purpose....just to fail miserably.........shitty ass Physics, i know i own a Radeon.....you seem to forget that ATI waits 6months after Nvidia to release a new card, hmmmmm sounds fishy to me, they r unimaginative and totally stealing the tech. to make their half assed cards.... add horsepower but take away the polish, sounds halfbaked to me!

  • a 8 pin and a 6 pin..hmmm what a stove

  • Hahha!

    Tesla...

  • Uh... Tesla does not equal to Fermi? There are just so many false info about GT300 right now...

  • hey this not the gt300:it's the "low cost" card and only OEM, like the gt100.

the DX11 card is the gt400!!!!!!!!

  • thats not been confermed yet i think. if it has been give me a link thnks

  • @armi1996msncom Google gt100-gt240 pictures before you tell FUD. It is definately not low cost or even budget card, it is high-level housing with dedicated cooling system.

  • It has 9,1 billion transistors not 3

  • I havent even tried to keep up with the top end cards for years, I'm currently running 8800GT in SLi (the first card cost over £200, the second a much more comfortable £55 2nd hand) - this runs everything I play at 1680x1050 with reasonably high settings. Im guessing my next rig will be Fermi (when the price comes down and my rig struggles to keep up with current games)

  • Very well said Trolling.. I have also built using both Ati and Nvidia. Theres always pro's and cons to both and we are all in this together so its basically preference. Ive always thought of Intel/Nvidia to be the darkside and AMD/Ati to be the alliance... The most important thing is to not regret decisions and have fun.. You have to admit though.. with the 57 58 and 59 series ATI really brought something good to the table for gamers on a budget. seriously a 5750 1gb is one helluva card for $140

  • no doubt no doubt, ATI has done phenomenally well not only with price but performance since the 4000 series, that said, im buyin 3 damn fermis.

  • @geezer8227 There's a Sizable performance jump, 25%+ in Some Cases to the 5770 , for only 30$ extra Dollars for the 5770, I don't see the point of the 5750 ...Everything Else though that you stated about ATI , I agree with , I'm saving my "Pennies" for the 5850 , ....(I got 4890's right now)

  • The 295 still beats out a 5870 hands down by about 20fps or more and is just 10-15fps shy of the 5970. But the 295 is just too expensive (and no I don't care for DX11 yet). If the new (if ever released) Fermi comes out should be much better but will cost the earth. Nvidia are getting killed on price by ATI they say the prices will still be higher than ATI but to me thats just stupid they need to get it to people who can't afford $£1000 for a card!

  • @geezer8227 Once ati rise their asses from the chair and do linux drivers of quality similar to windows counterpart, we will be talking. Right now, the only choice is nv.

  • Personally (and I don't want to upset the fanboy/flmaer brigade) I LOVE the ATI/NVidia 'whos better than who' thing - Ive used both and been both please and disappointed with both over the years. I Love the fact that both companies induce progress in themselves and each other.

  • Only 448 shader cores. The 512 model will be sent to reviewers but yields are too low to make it practical. Oh, and also, technically Tesellation is faster on a Fermi card but it uses up shader performance, whereas on an Ati card, there is a dedicated Tesselation unit so no shader performance loss.

  • Fermi looks really promising, and this coming from an ati owner.

Their tessellation model looks a lot more complex than the Ati version and the fact that physx can do 50x more the particle count than gt200

  • nvidia would,nt be here if it was,nt for

3dfx as sli was their idea with the voodoo 2 back in 1998 as nvidia bought the company and it,s technolgy when it went bankrupt as their cards were shit in those days as ati was better but 3dfx was king but i think ati will be on top with amd behind them i know what nvidia claims are but we shall see

  • They did not go bankrupt it was a fake sellout from the top guys..to make it fail so nvidia could get it cheap. Sad to say 3DFX could have taken the gaming market easily if they really wnated to.. but Big rich men made them and offer they could not refuse.

  • if thats the case how sad as their cards were great for the time

  • They had far tech over Nvidia --> Glide plus FSAA just they came out with cards during the time on 500Mhz shity pc 's were out.

3DFX had opertunity to have games just tuned for their cards and could have come out with small top cheap cards that rocked like the 3500

But as soon as I heard them go all tech with the same V-100 chip downclocked and still with SD Ram instead of DDR 2 There was something definately wrong.

    My opinion Dual 3500 x 2 64megs DDR2 with a better glide driver..

  • nvidia is not bankrupt lmao. whoever says that is a moron, but one of those pictures that has a tesla card cant be a real fermi chiped card. the read gf100 has 1x6 pin pci express and 1x8pin pci express power connectors, that being for there flagship gtx380. however i suspect that gtx360 might only have 2x6pin power connectors, though that might not be enough juice to power even the gtx360.

  • with all the micro stutter, non multi GPU support for games that needed lots of horse power and various other ATi rushed to fast out of production driver and card issues its always good to wait and see what nVidia is going to answer back with before you go out and spend a small fortune plus Dirt 2 is the lamest reason to buy a new card that games weak

  • loled solid

  • i have dat rite now =)

  • Only two reasons i will always stick with nvidia great driver support and better performance when comparing nvidia's 200 series with ati's 4000 series. I just cant wait for the 300 series i am definetaly going to get the GTX 360. Even with ati's 5000 series cards already out they still cant get there drivers to work properly. Nvidia will Crush Ati once again with there release of the FERMI based Cards.

  • took 2 long from nvidia and still nothing ready for end-users . total marketing fermi fail.

  • Finaly a nvidia gddr5 card haha..and 384 bits + more . it will burn ati muthafucker down .

  • when GF100 or GT300 come out thats when all the prices for lower cards drop right?

  • We will see, i am sure 300 series are much better than ati.

And even the 1.2 years old card (gtx295) BEATS THE HD5870, SO DON'T FUCK AROUND!

  • gtx295 - 2 gpu, hd5870 - 1gpu!!! FU

  • @MrNeoross Ati 5970 - 2 GPU!!! NO FU

  • If I remember right, The gtx295 is a dual GPU card therefore cant be comparible to the 5870. Only the 5890 would be comparible for dual gpu solutions. If I remember right ATI didn't fuk around.

  • this is 1 gpu and 5870 has 3.4 billion transistors dont say it will rape 5970 cause it may only rape 5870 or maybe the 5870 will rape it, we will see

  • ATI 5970 wil shit out, whenn 300 series are coming

  • @NBAasDOGG actually if you knew anything you would know that when fermi launches AMD will launch a more powerful card when it comes out. basicly when fermi launches they will be launching more upgraded cards to compete with fermi. or just to make sure they are better.

  • @thelasthallow your right, the last gpu iteration gave ATI such a significant lead that Nvidia has to release an entire generation just to catch up and compete- and we all know that hard working ATi never sits idle, they are brewing up something nasty which then puts Nvidia back a Gen. I own the GTX 275 OC and it plays Perfectly at 1920X1080 4X AA in Crysis but i have owned all ATI cards previous this build. ATI has some beastly cards in their stable right now.

  • @NBAasDOGG then new ATI series start to come in ; ) and will kick ass again ...

  • @NBAasDOGG and intel will shit their pants when amd's bulldozer chip comes out next year.

ps. i prefer not to be able to cook a dinner on my gpu ^^

  • @chaosblood88 How wrong you were :P

  • if tats truth, its a HUGE GPU, and I see that we're starting the age of "3D processor units" cause its getting impossible to things get smaller and they will gave to raise the size of the processors so they can improve theyr performance! its very sad :/

  • My one and only comment - you people are all idiots.

True, this is a Tesla Card but do you even know the difference between Tesla and a GPU? NOTHING!

NVIDIA pulled out of the consumer market?! While they may have pulled out of chipsets (while collecting a royalty from Intel for their code) they still produce both the best GPU's for Gaming, CUDA, OpenCL, and DC11.

Fermi is simply combining the features of Tesla and GeForce, adding a cache/memory heirarchy, and putting them all together.

  • Tesla is really a GF card that has been tested for stability 'n compatibility, nothin more! You can install Tesla drivers to your GF Card if you really want to.

While AMD is evolutionary with the HD5k series (more SP, bandwidth, etc) NVIDIA is being revolutionary creating the FIRST & ONLY card with ECC, cache hierarchy, nearly 1MB L2 cache per SM, completely new core design, etc etc

Both DPFP and SM perf are 50% faster on a 1 GPU than 2x 5890! Fermi will change computing for years to come!

  • tesla is a supercomputing design, dumbshit

  • @gsx02r600 you are telling this to kids please use smaller words

  • nvidia tesla is the supercomputing architecture, which is mainly for a workstation. the FACT is that they use cuda to do the work. fermi is just a code name for a NEW architecture, ITS NOT FUCKIN SUPERCOMPUTING, JUST SIMILAR. alienware mx11 laptop has gt335x and it plays crysis

  • Whats the name of the song?

  • wooden card presented by sore loosers 2 week after Evergreen hit the market

  • hahahaha fail this is fucking tesla not a gpu idiot

  • The card at the show was fake. The demo was also fake. The chip was a piece of metal. Nvidia is now pulling out of the consumer graphics market and has canceled its chipset production. Don't wait for Firmi. Nvidia's products were better than ATI, but the CEO took some risks that wiped them out. They will only be producing corporate level GPU's now.

  • will nvidia release 450W model in 300series?

  • 1.7% woodscrews

  • beacuse you are pennyless

  • Nvidia are at a point where they have to put useless things on a card. Well for gamers anyways.

I guess their thinking of getting thier fold score higher than about what gamers want.(the most buck they get)

Buy time the new GForce is ready ATi will be on another generation of 5970 lower die size.

Maybe even have quad Xfire buy then.

I think all GFX companies should try the same with the X2 lines as they did with CPU. put them into 1 die instead of the need for 2 actual GPUs

  • Quad GPU in one die is so more apealing. Lower TDP for a start

  • now it's the wrong time to buy gpu in my opinion.

I'll wait fermi...if it will be very good and at NORMAL price, i'll select nvidia, otherwise, at this time prices of ati will be go down, and i'll buy ati and i'll save a lot of money

  • Overcloack you keyboard!

  • um when is this card coming out??

  • The GF version was set for Q4 2009 But as been put back to Q1-2 2010 as wafers yeild is bellow 2% (every 100 wafers only 2 pass)

Nvidia are taking orders for their tesla series. (VERRRRY high end sience)

I think the reason for pulling back is the 58XX was better than exspected.

  • @wispa1a This is 100% true.

And also, another thing. Those pictures... They aren't Fermi. They aren't GT300.

You people should google this, but they showed a DUMMY at a convention, claiming for it to be real. You haven't seen any REAL benchmarks or even pictures of Fermi yet.

And so far, they've said nothing of the single-point precision performance of the cards.

In case you people don't know, dual point (DP) precision is irrelevant to gamers. 100%.

  • @Peemon

    Yeah ,i agree

The dual point (DP) precision(double precision floating point) has advantage of its own

Yes it irrelevant to gamers but , important for people use the graphic card as GPGPU or just a use for Real time use and general purpose application

    for example ,Folding@home

The Fermi codenamed 'GT300' on 2009 ,but at 2010 ,nvidia change the codename to GF100 .

  • One of the first few months in 2010 .....

  • this video card is not for gaming, is more for designers vomething like the queadro and fire gl as you can see it has only one DVI.

  • yeah the one in the pic is the Tesla not the Geforce line

  • i want it!!!

  • oo man

  • another nvidia 600$ muppet comming to stores near you :P get ready kids if you have some extra cash in yo' stash

  • Those are Tesla cards lol, for 3d-makin etc.

  • You really don't understand what tesla cards are do you? They are just binned differently. The current tesla cards use the gt200 architecture. Fermi is the first architecture to be originally designed for tesla then binned for geforce rather than vice versa. And tesla is used for scientific and simulation purposes not rendering, your probably thinking of quadro.

  • Nvidia paper dragon also called "fermi". Lol :D

  • cool card, however thats not the gaming version of the fermi, thats the quadro or tesla version

  • Comment removed

  • lousy dog need to at least try and compete with ATI. better not bee another 800 dollar card..

  • He compete pretty well lol

GTX295 i still stronger then HD5870 (only with duble of the power and heat)

now think of a card stronger 5 times then that....

pretty big mess for ATI :D

  • it wont be a whole lot faster than a gtx 295, it will be better but only about 10-15%, same difference there is with a gtx 280 and an 8800 ultra. It will be faster than a 5870, kind of the same difference there was between a gtx 280 and a 4870 but that was only about 10-15%

  • except on dx 11 games ofc and eyefinity is pretty damn sexy

  • You have got the £d veiw option with Nvidia.

If you can use it without any side effects

  • You're so lame, dude. How could anyone even think about stating "5 times then that". Even if it were possible to do that jump on today's technology, where did you see that information? On your crystal ball?

  • oooo the woodscrew edition special haha

  • You guys do know this is a fake right? this is not a real working model, nor is it a working engineering model. If you need proof, ask me

  • when will this come out? and do you need a special motherboard for it? is it worth waiting for these Dx 11 nvidia cards? or will dx 11 not really be in full effect for upcoming games for awhile. I am planning on getting 2 new gtx 285s in SLI should I wait or what?

  • Sometime next year, pcie 2.0, no its not worth waiting for because these cards are probably going to be around $600 at release.

  • its expensive because the nice design, 6gb memory and 3billion transistors

  • wait

  • Relaxing music, interesting.

  • damn! you can biuld a computer with over 6 tflops of raw power with that thing!

  • I can't wait for this baby to come out...

  • it comes from taiwan HAHA~

as a taiwanese,I gotta be very proud XD

  • AHHHHH!

    MUST HAVE!

  • splizert stfu noob go check there website and that shit is about 2g$

  • FAKE BS

  • It's not fake.... Google "nvidia Fermi Core"

and u have the same info.

I know it looks godlike...but the card is rly what they promise on the site...so that really means..

    A FREAKIN "" 512 "" STREAMPROCESSORS!!! NVIDIA FTW !!!

I am gonna buy that one xD

  • ATI Fanboy

  • interesting

  • looks like they will be 2 ore 3x faster then gtx 285

  • You can't really compare the gtx 285 with this one since the gtx 285 is made for running "games" and this one is for workstations. if you try this one with a game it will be shit compared to the gtx 285.

Even Jen-Hsun Huang, nvidia's CEO, said that this card isn't made for running games.

  • price???

  • "One hundred BILLION dollars!"

It should be around 500 or more at launch.

  • the price of pc thing here in brazil is a LOT overprice the gtx295 (not the coop) cost like 650 dolars, for you get a idea the razer mamba cost 130 dolars here cost 260 dolars, sorry my english

  • pois eh.. q merda de pais neh

  • nice card

  • sorry but its not fake

    100% real mate

  • Sorry to say but the press confrence was fake!

  • yes your right the press conference was fake, the CEO of Nvidia was a holograph, your right, and the audience was cardboard cutouts.

  • connectors not on the same side looks a bit odd...
