I'm experimenting with carving to keep my speed in check and getting the correct truck settings not to be too loose or so tight that I can't turn. My wheels are soft and I can't seem to slide but carving is fun. I want to go faster but I don't have the safety equipement yet so I go pretty slow for now. I don't think I'll ever be as good as these guys!

it all depends on what type of board u get decent downhill boards should be able to hit 20 mph if that like 30mph and the max Ive seen thats real is like 60 mph but it all depends on the board dont try to bomb a big hill on a normal skateboard or other type of longboard like a carving or cruising one cuz u'll most likely eat shit

@jumpsplat111 I experienced slight speed wobbles on my bomb as it was a freshly paved str8way hill about a 1/2 mile in length in my native island of Tobago. Its a volcanic formed island just north of venezuela... very steep hills. The gyroscopic effect of the wheels in motion along with good balance help maintain a str8 line track similiar to riding with no hands on the hnadle bars of a bike without the steering column turning... dig me?

not the best idea, you need harder bushings, when you tighten your trucks like that the bushings can split, and you lose almost all capability to find you center of gravity. I would get some venom double barrel bushings.

i didn't say you said that, and yea i've done it multiple times, the first time a car was following RIGHT behind me, and my friend has a speed gun also and he checked me at the bottom of the hill. and the hill isn't a straight shot, it doesn't have any switch backs by any means but it's pretty curvey and it's like new pavement. if you don't believe me look up libby lane in coos bay OR on google earth...

Some S9 wheels are fantastic (Raceforms in particular). Some of their bearings are bad, but most are good. Reds don't have an ABEC rating, Speed Demons aren't any better than my free Landy bearings.
