I was hunting at a club, where non-members cannot kill antlered bucks, and I was my uncles guest. I saw one running, I was pretty sure it was a doe, and I shot. When I recovered it, I saw that it had been a head shot, and the cranium was missing, so I started frantically looking for antlers, it was a doe, thank goodness.
i shot a doe in the back of the head running this year during iowa shotgun second season. one of the people in our group shot her low in the front legs and i mean low lol. we chased her around for a good two hours and i cut her off in the field with my truck and she turned around ran away and i did what my dad told me to do and thats to shoot em in the head if you already hit them once

I was hunting at a club, where non-members cannot kill antlered bucks, and I was my uncles guest. I saw one running, I was pretty sure it was a doe, and I shot. When I recovered it, I saw that it had been a head shot, and the cranium was missing, so I started frantically looking for antlers, it was a doe, thank goodness.

i shot a doe in the back of the head running this year during iowa shotgun second season. one of the people in our group shot her low in the front legs and i mean low lol. we chased her around for a good two hours and i cut her off in the field with my truck and she turned around ran away and i did what my dad told me to do and thats to shoot em in the head if you already hit them once

If it's a doe, You CAN shoot in the head, But my Advice I would shoot it right in the Heart. But If it's a buck, Shoot him in the Heart DEFINEATLEY. If you're wanting to make a Trophy out of it, Its your choice though.
