@OnlYUszmeGunZ not in top speed which is limited by the rev limiter and gearing. but the exhaust and bigger fuel jet does increase top end acceleration. 9.7hp stock. 11.5hp with this mod. sounds way cooler and louder also. boy is it loud compared to stock in real life.
That does sound good! Doesn't sound nearly as much like the stock pipe as the FMF system does. Don't waste your money on the 115-120cc kits, equip the 132cc, its cheaper.
in the original exhaust I cut that in half and it went a bit better lol.. but the bbr is all different with it's own parts.. it's spark arrestor is only a small wire screen so I leave it in there. It doesn't obstruct airflow for this exhaust. stock exhaust they do.
to me they definatly were, it sounded a million times better and went better. if you're trying to make a 100 a 150R...get a 150R... if you just want to liven up ya 100 a bit.. totally worth it.
I done it myself. it's pretty easy, a little fiddly you have to be carefull not to lose any little bits out of the carb but it's not that difficult. I took the bowl off and the main just is pretty much right there.
yep. powercore4 looks like it uses the same size pipe as standard with a differeent muffler. bbr pipe is bigger, will definatly support higher rpm power.
at the engine it most certainly does put out 9.7hp, it's in all the books. and with the few mods I've done it's sitting around 11.5hp. the crf80f has like 8hp.
i just googled it and found a couple diff web sites saying different things. some said that it gets abou 6.5 hp and others said it gets 9-10 hp. are they testing the bikes at different rpm's?
no not different rpms but a different way of measuring the power. one is measuring the engine itself and the other is measuring the whole bike on a chassis dyno. it takes hp to turn the gears and turn the wheels etc, the chassis dyno shows you how much power you have left to propel the vehicle forward. same as a car may say 400hp in the sales brochure but when put it on a chassis dyno you may be dissapointed when it reads around 290rwhp. and some say this measurement is what really counts.
I do not have the 120cc kit but that would be a big improvment! the bbr exhaust is also a good improvment along with the bigger jet, it really crisps up the performance of them and unleashes a great sound. the exhaut and jet increases power by 15-17%. the 120cc kit boosts power by another 20%, so they are definatly worth while.
yes it does, when you install with exhaus and the supplied larger fuel jet, you have a gain of 1.5hp = 16% power increase over standard. and it was noticable.. especially in the high rpms it gave it a mild sort of power band, before it was flat.
power band not valve. and it's more of a 2 stroke motor thing where there is significatly more power at certain rpms, usually high in the rev range, what I meant is that there was a real noticable change in the top end power where the top end power came on a bit more sharply and strongly. every engine has a powerband but they are more progressive and less peaky than a performance 2 stroke motor.
yeah I think so. they are sorta designed for people your height anyway..maybe if you can visit your local honda shop or something you could have a sit on one and see how it feels.
honestly it's personal prefrence. the 150 is a bit larger but also heavier. if you are a big sort of person you may prefer the 150, if you like smaller lightweight bikes the 100 is for you. 0-50mph I believe they are similar standard. the 150 has 11.5hp. the 100 has 9.8hp. I changed to a bbr exhaust with upgraded jet and higher performance oil and went up to 11.5hp ..with less weight = better performance and easier to throw around being very light I find it more fun than a heavier sort of bike.
i have the same bike but if you plan on racing that i would plan on #1: washing it #2:grease the chain or it will stretch and cause problems* #3: set the idle up it sounds a bit groggy
* my chain got stretched and popped up and broke the intake valve($500 bill to fix)
dude, #1 im not racing it and I am not going to wash it in the middle of riding ya ding bat. #2 I do oil the chain, with proper chain shit. #3 idle may be a tad low but it's fine, there is no problems with throttle response. and chains no matter what, do stretch, you just adjust it until its at the end of it' service life and then replace with sprokets.
thanks for the reply, i suppose an air filter and air box mods will help a little with the bottom end power but thats good that the pipe helps top cause stock is very flat
i am thinking about getting this pipe and i was wondering how the performance was and where does it seem to make more power ( top or bottom end) thanks
mid and top end it gave the bike a mild sort of powerband, before when the power just went flat up top, now it's nice and peaky all the way to redline and has nice mid range torque. it didn't improve low end at all, like most hot up bits, more and more power gets moved to the mid and top end of the rev range, but it was totally worth it, much more fun to ride. make sure you put the jet in that comes with it.
yeah, mine hasn't let me down all year, I've changed the oil a few times and cleaned the air filter many times and just ride it hard and it just keeps on goin. when i was young i had an xr80 that thing was indestructible lol
does it rele do any differnce for u, i have a 100 and a 230 and im thinking about geting 1 for hte 230 please reply! o and im 14 not the 27 on my utube acount age theirs funny vids that wont let u watch them! if ure not over 18
yeah the exhaust with larger fuel jet for the carb made a great difference, I especially noticed it in the high rpm's.. at first I thought hmm has this done anything.. then i hit it and it felt like it went nuts..more like a 2 stroke. bbr claim 1.5hp gain for the 100.. which is a big 16% hp gain, so it made a good difference to power. turned it into a wheelie machine. also make sure you run top quality oil and clean your air filter for the best effect. it should have a similar effect on the 230
the jet is in the carburettor, you unscrew the bottom bowl and you'll find it in there.. I wouldn't recommend doing this if you are unsure because you have to know what you're doing..otherwise you may loose some of the tiny parts that somtimes just fall out and may not know how to put the back in the right places. a bike mechanic could do it for ya no probs if you're unsure. the bbr exhaust comes with a 105 main fuel jet. standard is 98. the 105 is a little bigger, lets in a little more fuel :D

why didnt u get a pro circuit? its like the same price!!!? and its probally a better sound and power increase
ekajeroom 1 year ago
@ekajeroom I agree but, I think the pro circuit sticks out more so if u fall or pop a wheelie to hard it will break the pipe.
ownd1000souls 1 year ago
how do u jet a dirtbike and what is the purpose?
ekajeroom 1 year ago
@ekajeroom I changed the fuel jet to a slightly larger jet to keep the air/fuel mixture at a good level when I upgraded the exhaust.

did u take your bike to a honda dealer to jet it ..if not how do u jet it?

the jet is in the carburettor, you unscrew the bottom bowl and you'll find it in there..
