Man, I love watching the playthroughs and enjoying the story. Like a movie of sorts, complete with that aggravating gun thing. Where you'll buy a gun I would totally never use. Played DS1 with the Cutter. Earned my Achievement too. Damned versatile gun I must say and fully upgraded is a killing machine.

I dunno if you know this, but that beam of light that shows you where to go next can also show you where a shop save point are, I think you hold the button down for that beam and then press up or down on the D-pad the beam will change color and will show you where a shop or save point is. sorry if this dis not help much. it's just something I saw in another walkthough of this game.
