  • Hi, if you do have anymore footage I'd love to see it. Malcolm Pool is my Dad and I was there too. Love to see more. I agree - it was a gig in tribute to the late great Art Wood and it did get a bit sort of like the "Ronnie and Geno show..." One of the best shows of raw talent I have ever seen and that's without bias to my Dad. (Sorry Tom, I'm a bit slow on the uptake of this, only just spotted this film two years later!!xx) I'm all for more Artwoods footage! :)

  • My Grandad is the bass player of the artwoods..and was playing at this gig..just its a shame everyone payed attention to only ronnie and geno

  • Fantastic - that will be Malcolm Pool then? I do have some more video from before Ronnie and Geno came on, I'll see if I can upload it for you (not great quality though I'm afraid).

  • Yeah that will be great! thankyou

and yeah it is malcolm pool..my name is Tommy Pool..i dont see much of him as he lives in scotland now

  • @ianmcewanuk Genp was never that great if it hadn't been for Art it is probable that Ronnie and Rod may no thave made it , Art's group Quiet Melon was the fore runner of the faces etc.

I knew & booked the Artwoods in the 60's and they were the finest R & B band around bar none, I am sorry I never made this gig
