i have to admit, it´s a very cool idea to rearrange the song like that, but imo...this doesn´t sound like " the kings of northern hyperblast" at all, more like a Doom Metal band discovering the blast beat.

But thin this vid Sylvains vocals are simply great, though it`s not the case on the original stuff, his growling on sorcery and The Temple of Knowledge was only good and powerful, when he doubled or sometimes even tripled the vocals. Just check the original and youl´ll see...

@updiron1s There is plenty of reason to "bash" the new sound. Not only are the vocals comparatively boring, the music has become very stagnant and simplistic by comparison. It is, in effect, about as extreme as the band called Extreme. I only heard songs with Whatshisname on vocals months ago and cannot remember them. I went near to a decade without hearing Sylvain's material, and I could still remember it as plain as day. That should tell you a lot.

This is like Kataklysm's "Dreaming in Red" (Dismember)- with the somber intro/middle part and chaotic other parts- although old Kataklysm's chaotic parts are like a pack of wild demon pitbulls with rabies that just snorted an 8 ball. I love Dismember, and probably prefer them to this band, but I do see a slightly similar formula between those two songs.

After Sylvain Houde left the band, Kataklysm become just one more death metal band, like many other, this was good exactly by that chaos and aparently disorder, that's why Sorcery is a unique album in the history of death metal, if you don't like that chaos, that noise, it's ok.
